So what did we do on our last day????? Where did we go???? What did we see????
Well....After DH and I walked around the lake and took many pictures, we got back to the room to find Nick sleeping and LJ watching TV. It was already sooooo hot and it was only 9am. I just laid down on the bed and started to drip sweat. That's when I looked at my DH and said, " I can't go outside today. I don't care what we do, but it has to be indoors. No parks, no pools, just strict A/C". I knew our flight didn't leave until 5:20pm and we needed to be out of that cool, air conditioned room by 11am. I suggested the movies, the mall, and then.....ta da....

....Disney Quest!
Now I am not a huge fan of Disney Quest (DQ), but I knew it was indoors and it would be cool. Four members of our group already had DQ park passes, so we just needed passes for DH and LJ. So once the decision was made we packed up the van pretty quickly and made our way to DTD. Unfortunately, DQ didn't open until 11:30am. I thought it would open a tad earlier, but we just waited and we were the second group through the turnstyles.
Once we got inside, DS16 and his friend decided they rather go see a movie.

So they hung out for a few minutes and then split. They wanted to see the Hangover movie, but they needed an adult to get them in. So they ended up seeing Terminator 4 (I think?????). In the meantime, the rest of us headed to Cyber Space Mtn. We were able to quickly construct some coasters and get on board. And this....my dear readers......was when I realized that LJ is a serious thrill ride junkie. I realized that any limitations I put on him where completely unnecessary. He was born to ride.
LJ and Nick constructed a level 4 coaster, while DH and I went wimpy and constructed a level 2 coaster. I wasn't quite ready to go upside down. I needed to work up to it. Well, Nick and LJ were already on there coaster by the time DH and I were ready to load. So I snuck a peak at them. Talk about hysterical

Nick looked like he was being pushed back in his seat and his cheeks looked like they were being pushed back into his face. He did
not like comfortable. LJ, on the other hand, looked totally relaxed. His facial expression was a full grin and if he was feeling any G force at all, you sure couldn't tell.
My level 2 coaster was completely wimpy, so DH and I went back and built a new one by putting in a few loops and corkscrews. It notched us up to a level three. Wow - we were getting a little braver!

That coaster was fun, but still a little lame. LJ and Nick made a level 5 coaster. LJ just grinned his way through it. I thought about doing one more coaster, but now there was a line, so we decided to try something else.
It has been 3 years since I last visited DQ. I've only been there twice before and my impression has always been - eh! But today I living in the luxury of AC, so I couldn't think of any other place I would rather be. We went up to the next level to play some arcade games, ski ball, pin ball, and air hockey. I found this really cool arcade shooting game that reminded me of TSM. Definately not the same, but it was still fun and I could play it as much as I wanted. No fast pass required.

There was one ride that was closed and we did not do the car ride where you shoot balls at each other (can't think of the name). I thought the boys would want to do that one, but they just kept jumping from one thing to another and skipping right over it. It was nice to be able to walk right up to a game and play without waiting.
By now our stomachs were growling, so we decided the easiest thing to do would be to just get lunch there. I forget what we had, but I know that LJ's order was probably the ever predictable chicken nuggets and french fries. After lunch we went to the lower level to ride the raft ride (jungle cruise) and the pirates of the caribbean. OK - the POC ride was really fun. Way better than I remember. We only waited about 10 or 15 minutes to get on and we had a whole boat to ourselves. I got to be the captain and steer the boat. I loved it and I think I did a pretty good job. I could have done this ride all day. While we were still on the first level, we played the video game inside the jeeps. It invloved a lot of shoting. Sorry I can't remember many of the names of the games we played.
By now, DS 16 and his friend had returned from the movies. We played some more arcade games and then I remembered to look at my watch.

Crap - I had really lost track of time. It was 3:15pm. We needed to leave. Pronto! So I told everyone - finish up and be in the gift shop by 3:30. "We need to leave for the airport. Now". Our flight leaves at 5:20. Of course, everyone took their good old sweet time and I was sending text messages like crazy to try to get everyone downstairs. Then everyone had to have one more look in the gift shop. LJ picked out one more pin and DH bought it for him.
Finally everyone was in the super hot car and we were headed to a gas station. The stop at the gas station took us out of the way. We had to back track to get to the airport. I remember trying not to stress, knowing that we were really running behind schedule. I do like on site car rentals though. It's so easy to just pull up, get up, and go. We lugged everything to the airline check-in, only to find a long line. I have to tell you - this is how much my Brother and SIL travel - they didn't even have a rolling suitcase for LJ. Fortunately, one of the boys carried it.
We reached another long line at security and finally made it on and off the tram. Of course the older boys declared they were hungry. "All we had was popcorn at the movies". So they head for pizza. Once everyone gets their food, the boys go to sit down in the food court. Here's when I wanted to freak, just a little. I said, "Get up. Now. We don't have time to sit here. Our plane leaves soon, Really soon." I honestly did not know what time it was and I didn't even want to check, because I didn't want my little freak to turn into a big freak. So I herd everyone down to our gait. I kid you not....we had not been in our seats for more than 1 minute when they started calling for the A group to board.

sheesh....talk about cutting it close. That was a little too close for me. I got up and practically ran for one final bio break before we boarded.
Up next..... the final CSR pictures, our final good byes to LJ, and my final thoughts. Plus the epilogue (Niagara falls) and the September food fest.
