Kick'n It at Kidani (aka Am I Becoming a Resort Snob?)Final Update 8/20 p.54

You can absolutely expect a TR once we're back. I've had an absolute blast doing the PTR so can't wait for the TR.

Can't wait to see more of your picturespopcorn::

Beautiful pictures! I want to jump in that quiet pool right now!!!!!!!! It's rather unbearable here today and that looks SOOOOOOOOOO inviting!

Crocs melting to your feet. :scared1: that's why I can't wear crocs! In that heat I'm not sure I could do anything but some sort of flip flop.

Great update (except the vomiting part)

I definately think you deserve a birthday bash at the world. Katie's 40th Food Fest! :thumbsup2

OK, now I have a PTR title! do you think 28 months is too far in advance to start it? :rotfl2: I mean really, that only gives me 853 days to get my planning done :lmao:

FYI, according to the website I used to figure that out, I could also say 73,699,200 seconds
1,228,320 minutes
20,472 hours OR
121 weeks (rounded down)

:rolleyes1

Wow .... I've got to get over there and read your PTR so I will be completely up to date when you get back and start your Trippie!

Mary Ellen, I so enjoyed your trip report! The positive of being so late is that I didn't have to wait for new posts. (I stumbled across Jackie's report maybe a week ago. No, complaints, though. I just finished my Aug 08 report yesterday on my blog!) The negative, of course, is I kept reading so nothing has been accomplished yet today. :rolleyes1

We stayed at the Poly for our "trip of a lifetime". (We didn't think we'd make it back for years)... six months later we celebrated our twin daughters' 7th bdays at CSR... We are planning a June 2010 visit and my DH wants to stay at AKL for at least part of our visit (if we can swing it, maybe the whole 12 days.) This helped add to my excitement!:cheer2:

DDD - I responded to your post earlier today. What the heck????? Now I can't find the response. Am I going crazy!!!!! :confused3 I'm glad you enjoyed my TR. I know what you mean about the "once in a lifetime" trip and how it can turn into multiple trips! That's what happened to me. At first I felt guilty, like I shouldn't be going back every year. Then I just decided to go for the ride.

OK - hope this post sticks and doesn't turn into a duplicate post. That's the first time I ever "lost" a post! LOL

You know - I could definately jump into that pool right now! I need to get over to your TR. I bet you posted updates this weekend that I totally missed. I better get to them soon, so I can SEE them when I'm not at work. We are having really hot weather here in the midatlantic as well. This is the hotest its been this summer. Yucky hot!

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: OMG It hurts to laugh that hard. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:
If you are as crazy about trying new bags as LL is, you will need at least that long the find the perfect one! Let the planning and shopping begin. Just think. You can have all your packing done 6 months in advance!

But first I have to tell a funny story about our last night in Disney. When we got back from Epcot we decided to watch some TV. Nick decided to stay in the room with DH, LJ, and I. I guess the older boys were starting to get on his nerves. Well, for some reason the decision came up about how I have occasional nightmares. Which I do. I always have. I really thought I only got them about every 9 months or so. Apparently DH says I have them more frequently. Usually they are pretty generic and involve unseen people trying to capture me. I end up screaming at the end of the dream and waking myself up before I get captured. So DH keeps telling everyone how I have all these nightmares. And I responded, "No I don't". So what do you think happened that night. Sure enough, about 90 minutes after I fell asleep I had a nightmare. I woke everyone up and they all started laughing at me. Geesh! I don't think I've had a nightmare since. I better check with DH.

Oh, I love all the different angles you got of the pool pyramid!!! It really looks like an ancient Mayan temple in the middle of the jungle!

I have nightmares about people chasing me, too. The other night I dreamed Darth Vader was chasing me through the mall.

Just getting caught up and it's almost over. Sorry your crocs melted but it was sooo stinkin hot!
I loved the picture tour of CSR I really haven't ever seen any and it's really very beautiful there!
Can't wait to see what you decide for you last (boo hoo) day...

I guess you can never have enough CSR pics!

Up next......What do we do our last day and the rest of the pics!

Oh My! I got behind somehow!

Sorry about the nightmare! That's crazy! I get nightmares too but not very often! Since I've been on the thyroid medication I have really strange dreams though!

Great pictures of CSR! They're all so beautiful!!

Wow! More fantastic resort shots!:) You must have been up really early thought because there are no people around in any of them!

I love all the resort pics. It looks beautiful. In some cases you'd never even know you're in Disney!

Hurrah for making this TR last a bit longer and for the "promise" of the next one! :yay:

Sorry 'bout the nightmares. :scared:

O.K. Are you sure you are not employed by Disney?!!!! Your pics of CSR are great, I am a total resort snob (your title of this TR totally hooked me!) anyhow I have tossed around staying at CSR. I only stayed at one other moderate - POR for a short couple of day trip w/ my mom, actually liked it! Now after your brochure type pics thinking CSR should really now be on our list to try as a family. It truly looks very pretty, and as mentioned before, now with queen beds, is another selling feature. So, maybe a split stay?!! Thanks again for the great pics, really enjoying them.

Mary Ellen, As a DVC member, I know you were allowed to swim at both Jambo and Kidani. If I am staying at Jambo (as non-DVC) are we still allowed to swim in the pool at Kidani? (Then, my girls could compare the waterslides.)

I have nightmares about people chasing me, too. The other night I dreamed Darth Vader was chasing me through the mall.

Glad you like the pics. I actually don't remember where I was standing to get those pictures. I do know one thing....I was NOT standing in the pool when I took them. :rotfl:

Are you serious about the Darth Vader nightmare????? You made Shocker stay up late searching for the perfect picture! :surfweb:

All he wanted was a few of your coins......:rotfl2:

This picture is freak'n HYSTERICAL! :worship: Where ever do you find these things?

Just getting caught up and it's almost over. Sorry your crocs melted but it was sooo stinkin hot!

Can't wait to see what you decide for you last (boo hoo) day...

It is ALMOST over, but not quite. Glad you like the pictures of CSR. It is the most photogenic resort, IMHO. I really loved walking around there.

I only have work nightmares!:scared1:

Hopefully THOSE dreams don't cause you to wake up at night screaming! :scared1:

Oh My! I got behind somehow!

Great pictures of CSR! They're all so beautiful!!

I didn't think I had nightmares very often either, but apparently I do! And who knew I was so suseptible to suggestions! I suspect a hypnotist would love me! Glad you like the pics.

Wow! More fantastic resort shots!:) You must have been up really early though because there are no people around in any of them!

I really wasn't up that early. I think we walked between 8 - 9am. I'm not sure why there were so few people up because during the night time the place was normally packed with people. Maybe everyone was leaving or sleeping????

I love all the resort pics. It looks beautiful. In some cases you'd never even know you're in Disney!

Hurrah for making this TR last a bit longer and for the "promise" of the next one! :yay:

Sorry 'bout the nightmares. :scared:

Glad you like the pics.

Yeah....I'm going to drag my feet for awhile until I completely wrap this up!

I just wish I had a longer trip coming up to write about. I guess I'm going to have to run morning, noon, and night to have plenty of material to write about. I'll be telling my DH, "Let's go.... I have to do this, that and the other thing, so I have plenty to write about".

O.K. Are you sure you are not employed by Disney?!!!! Your pics of CSR are great, I am a total resort snob (your title of this TR totally hooked me!) anyhow I have tossed around staying at CSR. I'm so glad you like the pics. Like I said, this resort was so photogenic. There is so much to work with there and I love all the walking paths along the moderate resorts. This is one resort where I think the pictures do the resort justice. So many times pictures do not do a resort justice, but that is not the case with CSR.

And, yes, I am secretly employed by Disney to get more DISers to book more trips. LOL! :rotfl: (I wish)

Let me know if the link to Lurkyloo's TR helps you find the siemens lounge pics. I can't search for them now cause I can't see the pics at work!

I'm not quitting on you!! I'm in it til the end! Just sad to see it coming to an end!!

Awww. Thanks.

I am :rotfl2: about the Darth Vader picture!!! Great find, Shocker!

MEK, more beautiful CSR pictures -- you are right -- you can never have too many!
