Keys to the Kingdom & other stuff

Hi!
BF and I have been to WDW (3 land/4 sea) and are looking to do it again in 2007...its pretty difficult to get EVERYTHING in in 3 days (actually 2.5-first day is spent traveling)
However, we are looking at doing it again...and there are somethings I would like to do and I'm wondering if we can get it all in...

Has anyone done the Keys to the Kingdom tour (I think that is what it is called) Is it worth spending a park day on this?

Has anyone done a tour of the emergency medical system in the park??? BF and I are both in this profession and would love to see their system!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated...we're trying to see what we can do in the short time we are there that we havent done yet...we spent the first visit doing all the rides and there are some we would like to do again...but dont want to miss other things in the park that we didnt get to see b4

Hey Guru....seems quiet here! DH and I enjoyed the KttK tour this Sept. I have been a fan of Disney my whole life so I knew most of what our guide told us, but it was still a very worthwhile day. My husband really enjoyed seeing some of the backstage areas and getting into how Disney World "works".

Have you read other DISers reviews of the tour? That would give you a good idea of what the tour entails.

I just did the KTTK tour with a group of friends and it was definitely worth it! It doesn't take up a whole park day, especially if you reserve the first time at 8:30 am. That tour should wrap up around 1 pm. Lots of time left in the day for more MK time or another park.

Like almost every other kind of tour, I strongly believe that who you get for your tour guide can make a big difference in your experience. We had Nick and he was awesome!

When we went to WDW in 2004 we got a great bus driver and we couldnt stump him with anything...we even asked him what disneys gas bill was a month...apparently they have their own gas farms!!!

When I did the tour last year we didn't finish until almost 3. Thought it was well worth the time, saw a lot of things you would never get a chance too, along with all the trivia and lore. Had a nice lunch, did two rides (JC and HM) and got to go underground.

I did the KTTK tour in January of 2005, and loved it. My tour met at 9:15, and we finished just before the parade at 3. We rode Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion.

Lunch was at Columbia House. We were given a menu to pick lunch from when we gathered in the am. I had the tuna sandwich, which was really good.

There was a good bit of standing during the tour. Normally, it wouldn't have bothered me, but I had just tried to complete the 1/2 marathon earlier in the week, so my feet were hurting.

I highly recommend this tour.

I did the KTTK tour in 2003 during a solo trip and can pretty much echo all of NCRedding's post above. LOL! We rode the Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. Had lunch at Columbia Harbor House (and yes, I recommend the tuna sandwich too!). Our tour guide was Brick (yes, his real name) and he was fantastic. Since I was solo, I got to ride the doom buggy with him and he was pointing out all the hidden mickeys to me, including a relatively new one in the graveyard. Two big thumbs up to the tour.

We did it in 2002 and really enjoyed it. We took the early 8:30 am start so that we would still have time in the park later that day. It was enjoyable and very informative. I knew quite a bit about the utliadors, etc., so that came as no surprise to me. For family who hadn't seen them, it was quite an experience. One did say it kind of ruined the magic to see those CMs as they really were and not as we believe they are.... I think she's over it at this point!

I third the tuna sadwich at the Columbia House!

Utility Corridors. These are what many people think are the tunnels under the Magic Kingdom. Actually they are not tunnels; they are at ground level and MK was built over them.

I booked the KTTK tour the 1 full day in March that I'll be at WDW solo

KTTK is great, we had Rae as our tour guide in 2004 - she was awesome. There is so much to the MK that we never even knew about and the tour guides will answer just about any question you have. She even showed us pics of the inside of the 'apartment' in the castle.

I can't remember if I had the salad or the chicken fingers for lunch, I think I had the salad and BF had the chicken fingers - both were good. We met another couple on the tour, the were older than us (probably in their 40's, we're in our 20's) but we had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour - have a great time!
