During our next trip we will have one family staying with us for the first 7 days and a different family staying the last 5 days. We have linked reservations that will allow us to keep the same room all 12 days. How does this work at check-in? Will our keys work for all 12 days, while the other families' keys will only work for the days we specify at check-in? We can't have everybody's keys for the whole time because we would be over the 8 person limit for a 2 bedroom. Hope this question makes sense...

You can go to the Front Desk and change out keys when the time comes or just let the new people use the old keys if you want. The issue will be if you want the DDP, that will be a problem for you. If you do you may want to try to unlink them and lobby not to have to move. You'll still have to check out then back in and might have to move units if you do.

Thanks, Dean. No DDP this time around. I'm thinking that our guests will not be using keys to charge, so maybe they could just use the same keys. But I do need to call MS because these reservations are pretty old and I can't really remember if I have all of the right names for the right days and I want to make sure that any incoming emergency calls get to our room. This senior memory thing is something else.

You can fix it when you arrive as well.
