Saturday 17th November
Cinnamon Rolls and juice for breakfast today, then a few hours of chilling in the sun with a few dips in the pool and hot tub.
We met a couple by the pool who had been out fishing the day before and caught lots of red fish, they told us they had seen a manatee swimming right up to the pier when they set off that morning. A hose had been left running that was normally used to supply the boats that moor there. Apparently manatees are attracted to fresh water.
We made our own lunch from all the leftovers; toasted Cuban bread with cheese, ham and tomatoes followed by strawberry topped cheesecake.
We had a drive around Key Largo picking out all the houses wed like to buy if we won the lottery and then we stopped at a flea market but didnt buy anything.
We stopped and had lovely keylime pie ice creams and bought Callum some jerk spices as he likes using them in his cooking.
Back at the resort we did some packing and managed to nearly fill two cases, we havent even started to shop yet!
I did some fishing for a while and then we got ready to go out for dinner.
We went to The Bayside Grill which is another lovely restaurant which is right on the water.
We had cranberry rolls with a sweet dip (it was cinnamon and honey favoured condensed milk). Then we both ordered a bucket of shrimp each, plain fried for me and coconut shrimp for Theresa.
For dessert we shared a slice of keylime pie.
The bill came to $45 plus tip
