Key West for cat lovers

If you are a cat lover and/or have kids, then you have to go see Dominique and his flying house cats! He performs outside the Hilton during the sunset celebration on Key West. It's an unbelievable show! He has cats that jump through tiny hoops from one stool to another, and he has cats that jump through hoops of fire onto a tightrope! It's a really amazing show, especially when you consider how "easy" it is to train cats! Dominique is also a very funny man who truly loves his cats and the audience. We were on the 9/14 cruise, and my kids (ages 5 and 7) couldn't stop laughing. Neither could we. It's a truly unique show that shouldn't be missed.

You would also want to visit the Ernest Hemingway House. Many cats who are descendents of Papa's cats live on the grounds... and an interesting effect of all their inbreeding is that they all have six toes.

Dave, when you mentioned Ernest and his cats, it made me think of Shirley
Whenever I heard about him, I think about her story about how he used to have a little bag of rocks and throw them at the kids if they were around his house!

The Blue Cat is also in Key West. GREAT store for pet lovers (cats and dogs mainly).
