I can't wait to get to Key West.

Any advice on good shore excursions? I was interested in the Catamiran Sail and Snorkel. I was wondering how good you have to be at the snorkeling. Also, has anyone ever booked an excursion NOT through DCL?

Thanks!

Particularly interested in excursions you can do on your own. We have 3 children who will be 7, 9, &10 at time of cruise.
Thanks

Hi Nezy...

I have never been to Key West but I plan to go to the Ripleys Believe it or Not museum. I will be with my son 17 and his gf same age. I thought that would be very interesting and you may feel the same as your children are of perfect age to enjoy things like that.....

I read today that it is only a block from where the ship will be and I believe for adults...it is 15$ per person and a couple dollars less for children under 16.

ok, I hope I did this right....cut and paste this to your search and it will show you things to do in key west....

good luck...tracy

My DD11 and I did the catamaran racing in Key West and had a blast! There were two other kids with us who were younger and though they didn't help a whole lot with sailing the boat, they got caught up in the excitement of it all. DH took DD8 on the glass-bottom boat excursion and was lukewarm about the experience.

We visited Ripley's in St Augustine, and enjoyed that too.
