Key To The World Card

Is this just your Hotel Room Key that they give you at check-in? I was just wondering because it will be needed for Extra Magic Hours and I did not purchase a package, just room only!

Yes, your room key is your Key to the World. When you check in, you will be given an option to use it for charging priveleges in the world.

Basically anywhere on property that will take a debit or credit card. Small vendors like soda carts and such won't take them. You need cash for those. Cabs will not take them, obviously either. Not sure about places like Virgin Megastore and others in Downtown Disney that aren't Disney. Also a question just came to mind. How does one get cash with a Key to the World card? I doubt you can put them in an ATM...Can you? Or can you get an advance from Guest Relations?

You can't use the card to get cash. It replaces using your charge card.

Man oh man...................we use ours to charge things during our stay and you should see the bill on the last day. It's like you can almost hear the music from Jaws when you see it slipped under your hotel door as you are approaching it to see how much money you owe. DH and I always make a bet on how much the final total will be - and every year we are wrong, we guess to low.
Oh well......we will be doing it again in 4 1/2 months - some people never learn

showing your room key card is all you will need [besides your park pass of course] to get into the Extra Magic hours.

Actually, that's not correct anymore. Many vendors do now accept the room keys and credit cards.
