Kevin's favorite Restaurants

I'm laughing (with Kevin, not at him) about the grand little jab to the ego and reality check a post that says "Who is Kevin?" must be. :rotfl:

WE all know who you are and love you, Kevin. :lovestruc

Kevin, I was really happy to hear about your experience at Fultons. After that complete melt-down from your server at LTT, you deserved to have a wonderful server at Fultons. Although your food was a bit disappointing, it was nice to hear that many other menu items were hits!

Thanks for the great "snapshots" of your dining experiences at WDW.

Just reading this thread made me think of the one thing I don't like about going to WDW for the Food & Wine festival; I'm always too full from the sampling to eat a sit-down meal. :rolleyes1

I just find it hard to believe that users of other Disboards still don't know about the DisUnplugged Podcast. :confused3

I mean.....really? :confused3

Don't they know what they are missing? :confused3

Oh, and Portabello Yacht Club is way up on our list as of May. (1st time)
Hollywood Brown Derby
1900 Park Fare (breakfast)
Boma
Earl of Sandwich

I'm sure Kat will add more...

I don't have any other's right at this minute.
DH has done a wonderful job with his list.:love:
We have done a breakfast at 1900 Park Fare evertytime we are down and love this.
Chef Mickey's is not a bad spead as well, and the children love going there for dinner.
Portabello Yacht Club & the Brown Derby will be on our list as well from now on. However I do have to say I loved the lunch we had a Chefs De France last time. :)

I don't get it. You like Boma, but not zebra domes?!!! You're definitely losing it. ;)

Yeah....who's Kevin?

I dont rank or rate restaurants due to the fact that my reviews are based on one visit.

I try to give people an idea of what they might experience.

I can give a list of places we've enjoyed.

In no particular order....

Fulton's
Kona Sushi Bar
Narcoossee's
Boma
Brown Derby
Citricos
Earl of Sandwich

Jeff, might I suggest another trip then to enjoy a sit down meal? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

ok...a couple of things....

* Zebra domes fall under that "mickey bar" phenomenon.....I think people love these things becasue they are at Disney. Mickey bars are vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate. Not that that is a bad thing.....but the same thing (or better is available in Publix). Try a Dove Bar. Same thing with Zebra Domes. If you bought these at the bakery in Piggly Wiggly....they wouldnt be nearly as good.

* I did forget Chef's de France. I apparently typed my list rather quickly.

* Portobello is no longer Portobello Yacht Club and the last time we ate there....our friends described their food as "the worst food I have ever had".
Prices had gone up....quality had gone down and everyone hated what they had. John's dinner was described as looking like "dog food". Part of the menu is a "create your own" antipasto section. That was wonderful....overpriced...but wonderful. Please do not go here based on my reccomendation. In my opinion, this is no longer the restaurant it once was.

* Meryl Streep is the most nominated film actress ever and considered by many to be our greatest living actress. Go to Blockbuster or Netflix young lady. You have your assignment. Dismissed. :rotfl2:

* T-Rex should be bulldozed. It's an affront to humanity. I think my exact words were "not if my dinner comes with twenty dollar bills taped to the plate".

Bon Appetite

kevin: you have great taste. I agree with all of your choices except I have never eaten at the Sushi Bar. In fact I have never eaten Suchi and don't know what it taste like. Can anyone talk me into trying it?

John

Kevin! I will fight you tooth and nail over this. Zebra domes are popular, yes, but they could never be put into the Mickey bar phenomenon. They are little bits of African inspired heaven on a plate. Show me a bakery that could make them!

Watch 2 or 3 of her movies and you will see what we are talking about. Meryl Streep is absolutely the best actress I have ever seen.
