Just listened to this weeks podcast and heard you mention you went to Bistro de Paris. Are you going to review it on the podcast? What did you think?

I'm pretty sure they have reviewed it before. If memory serves their waiter smelled really good. Fancy expensive cologne. I know Kevin has said their French Onion soup is the best. I have an ADR there in November, can't wait to try it.

I thought there was a review of Chefs de France but not the Bistro :confused3

We thought Bistro De Paris was a spectacular experience.

The food was wonderful and the service outstanding.

While we love Chef's de France, and they do have the best French Onion soup, this is a step up from theme park food.

This ranks with the best at WDW, in my opinion.

While the restaurant, menu and staff were elegant and refined, we felt very comfortable in theme park clothes.

It was a wonderful dining experience with John and a wonderful friend.

This would be the perfect place for a relaxed, elegant, birthday, anniversary, celebration dinner.

It's a hidden gem that few people talk about. Ssshhhh! dont tell them.:)

So it is safe to assume that one should not have any "O, sweet mother of God!" type moment at the Bistro? ;)

Sounds great. Glad to hear it was a relaxed experience. I have reservations there with DH for our upcoming trip. We also like Chefs, but want to finally try Bistro. :goodvibes

Bistro is a pretty classy joint. The wait staff is all dressed tuxedo-style, and if you order items like the rack of lamb entree or the crepes Suzette dessert, you'll get a tableside preparation. It's like dinner with a show.

(I got the lamb presentation myself but witnessed the crepes set aflame across the restaurant a small distance from my table.)

The food and service were both good when I went there a year ago.
I can dig up my review with food porn if you're interested.

We ate there for the 1st time last week. DH didn't really care for it. He doesn't like sauces on his beef. He started with a shrimp appetizer and didn't care for the sauce on it, his steak was good (better without the sauce) but he really didn't care for the mashed potatoes. There was a layer of mashed potatoes, then a layer of something else and then another layer of mashed potatoes. Found our later the something else was "beef cheeks". Yuck! I ordered one of the prefix meals. I had the butternet squash soup which was very good, the pork tenderloin which was good and the creme brulee dessert sampler which of course was good. I would go back again but DH probably wouldn't. We still think Shula's steakhouse is the best restaurent in the area (but we haven't been to Victoria and Alberts - yet).
