Kevin - how ya doing?

You caught the pressure problem early, that's great, and you are half way there...glad it's on track

:goodvibes

and of course,
Yay John! :cheer2:

Kevin-

I know that recovery is the hardest part of this procedure- you are half-way there :cheer2: It must be very annoying & frustrating to not be able to sit in a comfortable position. I'm a "silver-lining" sort of person, so here are a few good things I can think of to point out:

1) You live in a time when your vision can be saved. Retinal detachments even 10-15 years ago had a poor prognosis of good vision after surgery.
2) Every minute you are on your stomach is another beautiful sight you will see in the future- a smile from a friend, a perfectly landscaped park entrace and yes... maybe even another sad little crab cake on a plate.
3) Events like this remind you of how many people love and care about you.

Keep you chin up... strike that... keep your chin down! You are almost there and we will all be able to wait until you are fully recovered and able to contribute to the most entertaining podcast around!

-Kelly

Kevin you are still in my thoughts. Take care of yourself, and John also. pixiedust:

Thanks for checking in Kevin. I'm glad everything is going ok other than you going stir crazy.... well and that pesky breathing thing.

Continued pixies and prayers for both you and John. We miss you both.

We appreciate the update Kevin. Glad to hear you are on the mend, and half way through the lay on your stomach phase.

That is so true. I'm glad all of the messages are helping you get through all the discomfort and pain. You are such a strong person. I know this is extremely difficult. My Mom has had many problems with her eye and the pain from pressure increases can be intolerable. I'm glad you have John there to help you. How have you been passing the time?!

Stay strong! :cheer2: Only 1 week left to go! :hourglass

Oh Kevin, sounds like you've had a rough recovery. You were right...it's very hard to lay AND breathe on your stomach for a few minutes, much less a week! Get better very soon, it sounds like you are on the mend.

To John, All that needs to be said to you is - Good job!

Mend well and do everything the doctor and John say to do. Wishing you good eyesight again... and soon!
