I was wondering if you have had a chance to eat here since it went up to a 2 credit, "signature" menu. I know the last review was that is was slipping a bit, wondering if this was before or after the change. Anyone know? Thanks!:goodvibes

This would be a great re-review for Kevin to do.
I'd love to know if Kevin thinks that LeCellier is truly 2 credit worthy.

I'm not Keven, but we had lunch there is August. It was truely excellent. The service was of a high quality and our steaks cooked perfectly.

There will be a re-review of Le Cellier in the not too distant future.

It will be a while....but not too long.

A friend of mine has a lunch reservation there in mid-December, and I'll be joining her there. This will be my first time eating there since...

May 2005. Right before the Dining Plan became "viral", so to speak. I haven't bothered trying to eat there after that. Since my friend has the ADR already, I'll see if it's as good as my last experience there.

Of course, I probably will just get appetizers and no steak, but we'll see.

That's great. I know in the past you used it for the candlelight dinner package. We have it booked for May, just wondering if the new menu was all that different. We always enjoy it, just curious...

I ate there in October for lunch, and it was fantastic (as usual). The filet mignon with mushroom risotto is still one of the best things you can eat at WDW.

We used to go there frequently but it began to suffer in service and quality.
We tried it again after staying away from it for a few years and it has now become, after a couple more visits, our number one "signature" restaurant.
Every thing there is wonderful. We were told that the assistant chef at Yachtsman Steakhouse was moved there due the deterioration in service and food quality. It is second only to our favorite Victoria and Alberts.

Our list:
Signature
Le Cellier
Narcoosee
Yachtsman Steakhouse
California Grill
Sit-down
Via Napoli
Coral Reef
Rose and Crown
Kona Cafe
O'Hana's

I ate there for the first time this past summer, and while it was good, it didn't set my nostril hairs aflutter in excitement. For me, I don't think it would be worth 2 dining credits if I were on the Dining Plan, but of course, YMMV. That's the beauty of WDW -- there's something for everyone.

I'd like to encourage people to mention if they are talking about lunch or dinner when they post comments about this. Keep in mind that lunch is one TS credit on the dining plan while dinner is 2 TS credits. I'd expect a significant difference in food quality and service between the two.

I havent.

I am going in May, perhaps I will give a review a try:scared1:? I will have to listen to your last time there so I can try to look out for some of the same issues. I can barely eat a meal with 2 little kids with me anyway so I might as well try to do a review, lol

We went for dinner this past NYE. It was an excellent meal. My ribeye was one of the best I have ever had, and DW loved her strip. Service was excellent some of the best we have had at a Disney restaurant.

We were there for dinner in Oct. We had the dining plan but opted to pay cash for the dinner. That was a good decision as we did not feel that the meal was worth 2 credits. We ate our usual filet, my husband had it with risotto and I requested the potato side dish (I think they were mashed). The steaks were at least as good as they had been on previous trips (delicious). I just couldn't see using 2 credits for a $43 entree meal. Our 11 yr old ordered a side dish as his entree. It would have been an extreme waste of credits to use 2 for his dinner so we felt the side dish was a good option for him. We skipped dessert.

The food was, as I said, very good. We don't typically eat at the signature restaurants b/c we use the regular dining plan. Looking at the menu prices, I don't think it is usually a good value to use dining credits for signature meals. If we used the deluxe dining plan, that would be a different story.

Don't suppose this review could wait until September when a certain person :confused3 who shall not be named, wins a dining review at the GKTW bash in August?
