The Keurig coffee thing is back in stock on QVC, and from pricing it different places, it seems to be a decent deal.

Here is my question--After making coffee in it, does tea and cocoa taste like coffee?

DH doesn't drink coffee--Actually hates it, and feels that this is a stupid machine- He does drink tea, but insists he will not use it because the tea will just taste like coffee.

Please help me. I need to show him he is wrong so he will stop griping at me for wanting one.

Although I don't drink tea in mine, I can't imagine how it would taste like coffee. Each cup is an individual "K-Cup". The water is sent into the K-Cup and then comes out of the bottom of tht individual cup. With a simple wipe down any residue from the previous cup would be gone.

DH drinks coffee

I use the Keurig for either hot water or hot chocolate .. neither taste like coffee.

HTH!

Keurig suggests when making something other than coffee, running the machine through once, to alleviate that problem. For example, before making your tea, run a cycle of water through first. When I first got the machine there was some taste, but it disappeared after a couple of weeks. It was not a "transfer" taste- I think it was a new machine taste.

My family thought I was nuts, too, but they are the biggest fans now. That machine is constantly used. My daughter does her herbal teas, my other one does her hot chocolate and the hubby does his decaf or just plain hot water.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the purchase, I do not think you will regret it.

I don't have one but have been considering getting one. From other threads on the boards, I was under the impression that if you primarily use it for coffee, your tea and hot chocolate will also taste like coffee. :confused3

Those coffee oils don't clean off easily. I say get 2! Her's and His. :thumbsup2

Just a quick tip...you can get the coffee on Amazon. I have Amazon prime and it's a great convienience to just order the coffee on line. It's no more expensive than in the stores.

I love mine.... I buy my coffeefrom coffeewhiz.com. If you spend $50 then you get free shipping. I highly recommend this coffee machin.
