I had recently emailed WDW and inquired about the possibility of them ever allowing pets to stay on property. I had suggested they could allow specific rooms, in hotels close to a WDW kennel, as "pet rooms". The guests would have to kennel their pets when they weren't in their rooms, that way, mousekeeping could still perform their duties safely. A extra nightly fee could be charged. Maybe even limit the size of the pets. Anyway, I received an email in return, asking me to call them in regards to my suggestion. I did call them and spoke to someone in their executive offices. She told me that at the moment, pets are not permitted in the rooms, HOWEVER, if they found it to be something that the guests at WDW would be interested in, it could be done easily (and quickly). I even made the suggestion that if they wanted to do it on a trial basis, there would be no better resort to try it on than FW. They could allow one of the smaller cabin loops to be a "pet loop". All the pets would be in one area and all the bushes and trees would make it easy to Fido to 'take care of business'. She did say that all Universal hotels do allow pets..........my reply "Who wants to stay OFF SITE?!!"

Just an idea.......maybe if enough people contact them regarding this, those of us with pets could bring them with us. :flower:
