Kennel near the port?

If we were to stay at the Wilderness Campground and had our dog with us, is there a kennel near the port to drop the dog off during the cruise? Has anyone done this before?

Also does anyone know what the additional cost would be to have both car and pop-up trailer parked in the lot at the port? This would be for the four night cruise.

We just left our dog Maggie the MAGIC Dog or WONDER Dog...depends on which ship we are on.....at a place in Orlando called the VIP Pet Hotel. It was very convenient to drop her off and hop right on The Beeline to the Port. It was 23.00 per day, and we had extra walks added and she has to take allergy pills...all of that was extra. It cost us 200.00. But we loved the place, Maggie had a great time and we will take her there again.
She was not sad or acting like she was mad at us or anything when we picked her up. I think she slept for like 3 days...too much going on at the HOTEL I guess...

I don’t know if this is the same place that Phyllis is referring to, http://www.vipet.net/ but we’ve left our dog here a number of times when we visit the parks. Facility is very clean and the employees are very attentive.

Hi this is Shirley,
We do have a pet sitting place here in Cocoa Beach and even tho I have gone in and checked it out, I have never known anyone to leave their "children" there - now I had time to speak to Phyllis and believe me - she and Jim are very protective about their 4 legged child and I know for a fact they would not leave Maggie without checking out the "hotel" where they left Maggie - I consider Phyllis a great friend and know that what she says is the truth - so I would contact her.

GEM...That's the one...on Sand Lake Road.

And Shirley is correct.....I would not leave Maggie just anywhere...I did go over and check the place out before our cruise.

The lobby of this place is nicer than my office. It seems to be only women running the place..at least I never saw a man...and I think they just play with the animals all day. I know they were having Turkey and Dressing for Christmas Dinner!!!!!!
They have an indoor play area as well as outside...and I think MaggieDog made lots of friends...
