Kennedy trip with virgin?

Hi, has anyone booked the Kennedy Space Centre trip with virgin holidays? If so what time did you leave and where from, how long was the journey and what time did you arrive back at your hotel?

If you have a car its easier (and cheaper) to do KSC yourself. No rush or hearding feeling

Thanks for the response. I know it seems strange to most people but driving abroad does not factor into my holiday, too much like hard work . The only trip we are likely to want to make is Kennedy and Virgin do a pre-bookable tour so thought we might go with that!

We did this back in 1998. We were picked up from our hotel (ASSp). Fortunately we were the last pick-up and first drop off. I think the journey was about 90 minutes (but it was a long time ago).

We did feel rushed though - I think we had about 5 hours at KSC but it was very disorganised and we wasted a lot of time in the morning waiting for a tour bus at the centre. We didn't see everything we wanted to.

I'm sure that things will have changed in the last 9 years, hopefully someone has done it more recently.

If we did it again we'd drive ourselves.

Thanks for the reply Libby. The journey isn't as bad as I thought. To be honest 5 hours will probably be enough as although my DS 9 is space mad my DD (5) is going under sufferance, the deal being you do the princess meal I do the space centre!

Kennedy is fantastic nowadays. We have done it twice and Sarah didn't even want to go the first time. That's right she stamped her feet and everything....
but the second time it was top of her list of things to do.

A must do even if you don't like space.

Thanks Steve, hopefully I will be like Sarah and find that the day I am already classing as a waste of time will be enjoyable.
