Kennedy Space Ctr.

Maybe this is the right place to post this, but my DH and DD want to go to Kennedy Space Ctr while we're staying at WL, how do we make arrangements to get there? Would the resort help us or do we need to check into that now, before we arrive? Thanks!

I would start checking into this now. There may be a shuttle service you could use.

I would check with Mears to see if they have any shuttle service to the Space Center. I would imagine the towncars would be expensive. Your other option is to rent a car on site at the Dolphin (it's either the Swan or Dolphin but they are right next to each other). For one day it may cost less or the same to rent as it would be to take any shuttle. The Space Center is quite a distance from WDW. FYI you can get to the Swan/Dolphin easily via the Epcot International Gateway or the Disney Studios. You can walk in about ten minutes from Epcot and maybe 15 minutes from the Studios or take the Friendship boat from either.
Maybe others will have better ideas.

We rented a car this past july. It takes about 2 hours to get there from WDW.
National will pick you up at your resort & take you back when you return the car.

If you are a AAA member you can get MUCH cheaper tickets through them. I highly advise it. Also, have a rental car. The tour is done at your own pace. Buses take you from place to place, but you can spend as much time at each place as you like. If you have a car you don't have the pressure of doing it faster than you want or having to wait for the shuttle because you estimated too much time.

We took our boys when they were 5 and 3. They LOVED it almost as much as my wife and I.
