After 5 previous visits, my eldest DD has requested a visit & I know my Dh would secretly love to go, is it worth a visit?

Not everyone enjoys it but we do. We got AP one year, they were same price as a 1 day ticket so we visited a couple of times within the year. Even DW enjoyed which we never expected.

We normally end up going each time and I must admit after a couple of hours I've had enough and I go and park myself in the cafe...DH is very much into all things space and takes forever IMO::yes:: But this last time we went (September) we took in the new tour to the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) and also saw Launch Pad 39a and I really enjoyed this. We were so close to Endeavor just days before she was moved and she looked so small inside the VAB which is just unbelievably huge.
I would say go to KSC its worth the trip.:thumbsup2

We were just there on Saturday it was awesome. We did lunch with an astronaut and that was great good food And we got to meet Fred Gregory who is a veteran of 3 shuttle missions and was also acting head of NASA. We did the tour which included the VAB and that was really cool I had wanted to see inside since I was a kid. Well worth it. Only thing was we only got o see one of the IMAX movies due to time. We booked through Florida tix which it turns out are just Florida dolphin tours but slightly cheaper.

We booked through Florida Dolphin Tours and they are great. They put one of the imax movies on in the bus down because of the time restraints. Obviously not the same as watching on a huge movie screen but hey ho it did for me..;)
We had plenty of time at KSC with them and the tour guide was hysterically funny!

I can understand that after the first visit, it could get a bit boring. The first visit is AWSOME.

I LOVE KSC

We can't wait for the girls to be a bit older to take them there.

I love all space movies and can't count the number of times I've watched Apollo 13 - this is just a dream day out for me! :goodvibes

Thank you all for your great comments :thumbsup2
Look's like a trip to KSC it is then :)

Our driver was great plenty of info on the drive to KSC. Think we just ran out of time with not getting there until after 9am lunch being at 12pm and our tour was 1:30pm once we were done with the tour and the Saturn V area we ran out of time for more than one IMAX. Bus picked us up at 5:15pm and we were back at DTD by 6:30pm.

we rented a car from the Dolphin hotel 2 week ago and had a drive down. We spent 2 hours there but it was something we probably would do once and never again.

We go every time, love it, the wife loves it and the kids loved it.
Really fascinating stuff, makes me realise just how incredible it all is.

I would not go to Florida and not visit for the day. Much better than Animal Kingdom, a park I find difficult to like.....

I think any of us of a certain age (ie child of the sixties) remembers the moon landings, and it makes it exta interesting for us. I didn't know that VAB is now on the tour list- DH and I will definitley have to go again! Last time we went to WDW, we flew in over KSC and it was amazing to fly over the VAB and all the launch pads!
