kennedy space center

I would like to know if any fellow cruisers have gone to the space center after arriving at the cruise terminal. is there transportation available.general informatiom would be helpful.thank you

one time we went to the Kennedy Space Center the day of our cruise. We were so excited to get on the ship, that we really didn't get to see all the different complexes. It really takes a good eight hours or so IMHO to see all that the space center offers...

there is no transportation to or from the pier that i know of, but maybe someone else knows something different...

We did the Space Center AFTER the cruise and it worked out great. You dock so early, and our flight wasn't until 4 or 5 o'clock that evening so we had a lot of time to kill. We rented a car so they picked us up at the dock and then we just dropped it off at the airport. We really enjoyed the KSC and it made returning from the cruise not so much of a letdown since we told ourselves we still had a little bit of vacation left

i think it's a great idea to go after the cruise (assuming you have a place to put your luggage.....like a rental car)....
as boo said, the ship gets in so early in the morning, it's definitely workable.....i think KSC opens at 9 so you can get there pretty much at opening if you like....
i would think that renting a car would be the best bet....

if you meant going there before the cruise i wouldn't advise it...
there's so much to see there, it's a full day visit.....no way you can fit it in before the cruise....(and it's a tiring visit as well....)

whenever you go i'm sure you'll enjoy your visit.....we all enjoyed it and are planning to visit again...

Just in case anyone is interested - I still have pamplets and I still have discount coupons even to KSC and its all at no cost except a SASE sent to me and I will get the info out to you - just email me and will give address and info ------is KSC worth the visit - have lived here for umteen years and still say yes it is worth it all.

I noticed that Tom Hanks, Ron Howard and Jim Lovell will be at KSC for IMAX viewing, but that they were sending invites out...my family collect autographs from people we admire and if anyone goes & can manage to get ahold of one for me, I have some other autographs that I've been fortunate to receive more than 1 of (like Bob Hope, Don "Ducky" Williams, etc) that I would trade for Mr. Hanks. Please let me know if it's possible...it would really mean a great deal to us. Thank you so much!
