Kennedy Space Center

Has anyone gone there from WDW? If so what was the drive time approx? Also how did you go rental car? Shuttle? etc... I am going in Oct and we may want to go there one day. Just wondering if its worth the price of admission and what its llike, and is it a whole day thing.....thanks any input is welcomed.

Depends on how into the whole space program you are. It's definately a full day, if you plan to do everything there. We always drive, but then again we drive to Disney, so we didn't have to rent a car. If I remember correctly it's about 1.5 hours at the most and a very easy drive.

My kids love this place and we've been many times, so for us it's worth it, but I have nerds for kids. To many it's a one time destination they would never go back to.

We have gone 2x when we were also at Disney, I just checked and the COST has gone way up, I noticed last time they keep taking parts out of the tours and making it a different tour and adding a different price on. It is now really expensive, I can remember (way before 9/11) where we got to see the big tank where they trained for space walks (they were in there training when we were there!) and as we walked out there we big crates marked International Space Station, now you cant get anywhere near it! It is way cool to take the tours but now double the cost check with AAA for a discount
