Ken Jennings to Produce Jeopardy!

I definitely think so. I know people have a lot of feelings about Ken and it’s either one way or the other but no one else makes sense at all to replace Alex. It has to be Ken or no one.

It would be Pat Sajak if anyone else.

Pat Sajak is 73 years old, no way anyone over 50 gets the Jeopardy gig Also Pat is completely branded to Wheel Of Fortune, he will also be difficult to replace when the time comes.

Been a fan of Jeopardy since the 80s, although, being honest, haven't been a regular watcher since the early 2000s. I love to catch it from time to time tho. I think Ken Jennings would be a good host of Jeopardy. I know it's hard to think of anyone but Trebek doing it, and will be a very long adjustment. But I remember Chuck Woolery hosting wheel of Fortune, and every host of Family Feud since Richard Dawson> It'll be different, but we'll get used to it .

Re: Wheel of Fortune. when Vanna filled in while Pat recovered from surgery, she just gave the show an "ick" factor. I'm still not used to Drew Carrey doing the Price is Right.

As for Family Feud, Richard Dawson kissing all the women was shudder-worthy. Some (most) of the questions they have these days really aren't family friendly. IMHO.

I agree, Family Feud has a lot of questions I don't consider family-friendly. I don't know whether the host plays any role in influencing the type of questions. Shows in prime time should be something you aren't embarrassed to have your family watching or result in awkward questions from your younger children. I don't think the host of any game shows needs to be an expert former contestant or someone who would do well on the show. Most good hosts have a likeable personality and interact well with the contestants.

Ken would probably do way better as Jeopardy host then James, who always seemed uncomfortable on camera or tried making funny jokes that didn't come off well. Someone who has never been a contestant could also do fine as host. The next host will likely have their own style different from Alex. Game shows can also run out of followers and may go off the air at some point.

Drew on Price is Right often seems to be making fun of contestants who either don't understand how to play a particular game or post bids that clearly way too high for an item. Sometimes his spontaneous efforts to be funny fall flat or sound like inside jokes he has with the crew.

Pat on Wheel of Fortune has the right mix of being funny, likeable and able to interact well with the contestants. However, I wasn't sure why Vanna was his stand-n during Pat's illness instead of just having a temporary substitute. Doing that also resulted in needing a temporary replacement for Vanna.
