Yesterday I had my first dress altering! I got my dress 2 years ago off Ebay in a size 14 which I was a the time. It never fit me though, I didn't realize the differences in regular dresses and bridal dresses. I was panicking about how I would be able to ever fit in it! My wedding was postponed a year due to other circumstances so I didn't have to worry about that for a while. Come this January I finally took the initiative to start exercising hardcore and eating better. Since January 5th I've lost 15 pounds and I've gone from a size 14 to about a 10/12. The bodice even has to be taken in a bit now
I loved the way my dress fit, it made me feel so beautiful! The people who worked at the shop said that my dress was "a breath of fresh air" because all they seem to be working on lately were David's Bridal dresses (or David's Mechanics as they called them.) No offense meant to people who got their dresses there, I just feel happy to have a different style dress.
I tried on a veil that I absolutely loved that the owner of the store made and it was beautiful

It was a simple two layer with a white edging. It's only $40! I wish I had a picture of that but my mom was really slow with the camera and only ended up taking 3 pictures! Hopefully next time I go back in two weeks she'll take more.
I also stopped by JC Penney's and got a couple of outfits for the honeymoon at Disney and while I was there I decided to check in at their salon and see if they had an opening on my wedding day. Luckily they were and I made an appointment for a manicure, pedicure and hairstyling. The hair will only cost between $20 and $30!
Only 55 days to go!
