You are WEEKS late on this 1. I watched the whole show. You should have seen her face when she found Hungary was a country And while she may not be smarter than a 5th grader I do have to give her points for being funny. If she's half as funny onstage in a concert it'd be worth the price of admission.

Still she wasn't quite as funny as Clay Aiken who was definitely smarter than her. But still not smarter than a 5th grader. And she still fared better than the guy after her who flunked out on his first question.

This has got to be an act as part of her "image". I'm sorry, I don't buy that she thought Europe was a country. Wasn't sure if France was a country or not. And had never heard of Budapest or Hungary before. I would buy that she didn't know the answer. That doesn't surprise me at all. But all the other comments had to have been an act. I don't find her funny or cute. She's an embarrassment.

I don't watch the show, so if I'm late responding to it, that's why. I heard about it on the radio this afternoon on my drive home from work and I watched the clip online.

I don't think she was trying to be funny. She looked like a complete idiot. I don't think you can fake what she did. Most people that know they've made a mistake "Isn't Europe a country?" would show their embarrassment after they realized what they said. She didn't know what was going on.

The disturbing one was the "Americans are stupid" from a foreign CNN type show. It was like "Jaywalking" but on a much larger scale. "name a country that starts with a 'U' " Frightening really.



I also think that show isnt neccesarily fair for that same reason it been, well, more than 25 years since I was in the 5th grade. My brain has had a lot of other things to think about in that time. I can do pretty well but some of the things are certainly not "fresh" in my head.

I don't think the show's unfair, that's the whole point of it. That we learn such basic, easy things in elementary school and then everyone forgets the basics!

Kellie Pickler's always been an idiot. Nothing new. I'd hate to think she's been playing the dumb blonde role all this time, that doesn't say much for her. I'd especially hate to think so if she was playing for charity... it would be sad if she put looking like an idiot for her "image" over winning money for a good cause.

Clay was really funny, though, and actually did really well!
