I should stay out of this thread...can't resist!
I have to say the whole "cherry pie" comparison is hilarious. This is about people's lives, not a momentary choice of food.
I cannot understand why people feel the need to involve themselves in the lives and happiness of others when it's none of their business. If you don't want gay marriage, don't have one. Otherwise, butt out.
All this other junk about multiple wives, marrying dogs, etc. is totally separate and unrelated. People are not dogs and no one is talking about multiple marriages. This is only about allowing gay people to have the same rights strait people already have. The end.
Very nice, OP.
Thank you. As others have said, it's unfortunate that those whom this should actually touch and affect are not going to be affected. The same ones to whom Keith Olbermann was talking are the ones with hearts too cold to even listen with an open mind.
Unfortunately, for the rest of us, he's preaching to the choir.![]()
Thank you again OP for at least trying.
It wasn't meant to be a comparison, it was meant to be an exercise in logic.
Really? Why is "Big Love" such a popular show on HBO?
Pssst--Can I be so bold as to inform you that your married, heterosexual friends are out there having anal sex
And guess whatThey are partaking in some other "unnatural" sex acts too

Being gay has NOTHING to do with the unnatural nature of things
BTW--What constitutes unnatural? What do you think God does not want folks doing in between the sheets? What is off limits to God as far as sex goes?
Please explain why homosexuality is harmful to one's self or others...since apparently we're comparing it to drug use.
I'm not even going to touch the "lifestyle" comment...![]()

Just to let you know..."unnatural sex acts" don't only occur in homosexual couples.

My friends are a bunch of geeks, and for the ones with girlfriends, they actually respect each other enough not to have sex before marriage....
If it was from someone esle besides Olberman, I probably would have listened.
And in my opinion people who have really large noses also have everything to do with the unnatural nature of things. Since large nosed people are biologically different, they should be denied some rights. I know lots of people disagree with me, but as long as I can get over fifty percent of the people to agree with me, large nosed people will never be allowed to enter into a business contract with another person again.Biologically speaking, homosexuality has everything to do with the unnatural nature of things..

This is just what I believe. I understand that large nosed people claim they are the same as anyone else, and the the friends and family of large nosed people want you to believe they are normal. But come on, the vast majority of normal people don't have large noses. That makes large nosed people unnatural. If God wanted large nosed people, he would have given us all large noses. And I don't want standard business practices to become distorted by allowing large nosed people to get involved.
I'm not saying that large nosed people can't live in my neighborhood. I just don't want to allow them to buy houses they live in because that would mean they would be entering into a business contract.
I agree - he is an incredibly nasty, rude and ugly partisan on most issues. He calmed down somewhat here, but that didn't really matter because he is in essence just preaching to choir - e.g. the majority of those who watch MSNBC (a very partisan channel) were already against the anti-same sex votes that won in CA, FL and AZ, so his "message" isn't reaching the presumably targeted audience.
I remember reading this same post a couple of years ago. It still doesn't make any sense. The way a person looks has no bearing on Prop 8. To many Christians, homosexuality is a sin. Having a big nose is not. Many feel that homosexuality is perverse. Having a big nose is not. Personally, I agree with Barack Obama on the issue of gay marriage. (One of the few things on which I do agree with him.)And in my opinion people who have really large noses also have everything to do with the unnatural nature of things.
