It's really disappointing to see this kind of racism on the DIS.

I really miss Olbermann on Sportscenter and when he did radio with Dan Patrick. They were a fabulous pair.

I have to say that this is a pretty ignorant statement and just from reading this little snippet from you, shows me you don't have a clear grasp on the Middle East. Please think carefully and do some research before you throw out blanket statements and label everyone who doesn't have your viewpoint. I recommend going to the library and checking out various history books on the M.E and you will see a common denominator. Religious extremism and violence, that goes hand in hand. On the plus side, the books are free. Just a helpful tip.;)

The different religious factions in the Middle East have been fighting each other for centuries. The hatred, distrust, and overall ignorance they have shown the modern world, has been going on over a thousand years. Not much has changed since the dawn of mankind and you can bet nothing will in our lifetimes. The die has been cast and it is what it is. Telling things for the way they are, isn't racism, but a thing called cold reality.

Racism??? Please.:sad2: I hate when people throw that card on the table and it makes me want to grab the Pepto Bismol.

Did you bother reading the www.politico.com interview ?

(I wonder if that "sweetie" Keith did) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I totally agree with President Bush.

Bush warns of Iraq disaster
By MIKE ALLEN | 5/13/08 5:18 PM EST

President Bush warned in an interview Tuesday that the Democratic presidential candidates' plans to withdraw abruptly from Iraq could "eventually lead to another attack on the United States" and would "embolden" terrorists.

In a White House interview with Politico and Yahoo News — a president's first for an online audience — Bush said his doomsday scenario for a premature withdrawal “of course is that extremists throughout the Middle East would be emboldened, which would eventually lead to another attack on the United States."

"The United States pulling out of Iraq or pulling out of the Middle East or not maintaining a forward presence would send all kinds of signals throughout the Middle East," he said in the Roosevelt Room. "And it would shake everybody's nerves, and it would embolden the very same people that we're trying to defeat.

.

You still think Bush has a clue about anything, or what he says has any value at all? You are certainly living up to your picture.:rolleyes1

Poor pathetic little Keith....this is his only way to get noticed.

By the looks of things, Keith's plan has succeeded well. Which is more than you can say for your president who used an address to a foreign government on their "Fourth of July" to insert his politics. Didn't look like your president got such warm reception. It looked to me like the members of the Knesset were thinking to themselves "when is this sack of **** going to shut up".

Btw, how come it doesn't bother you that Bush used giving up his golf game as some sort of parity for those who lost loved ones in Iraq? How come it doesn't bother you he lied?

And, no those aren't rhetorical questions. :lmao:

This is what a radio talk show host, overdosed on Koolaid, looks like. Other guests don't even have to speak.

I would bet good money the vast majority of Planet Bush residents who talk about appeasement and Chamberlain are just like that rightwing *******. They don't know what the hell they're talking about. They have no sense of history beyond the idea that it started in 1981 with Saint Ronnie. Who, btw, will not rise from the dead and run for president again. McCain really is the candidate. Oh the horror. :lmao:

My personal opinion is that Keith is an egomaniac. Truth of the matter is - if Bush kept up playing golf - Keith would be saying "there goes Bush again...playing golf while soldiers are being killed" He can't win...not matter what he does or doesn't do period. And personally - instead of Keith (or anyone else for that matter) reminding everyone how many Americans have been killed in Iraq (not that we shouldn't be told - I don't want ANY of their sacrifices and what they have died for to be forgotten) why doesn't he remind everyone about who these people are that are killing Americans - like Al Queda and Iran?! But that can't be done...its fear mongoring.

But, Bush brought up the golf thing, no one else. No one mentioned it before. But according to Bush, it's his big sacrifice. And that was even a lie. He didn't give up heading to Crawford or Maine every few weeks. And Cheney didn't give up shooting peop....., oh sorry, hunting.
So, as usual, no one has sacrificed but the families of those in the service. Btw, and someone can correct me, but I seem to recall LBJ's daughters both marrying someone in the military. Didn't see this at the wedding last week, did you? The new SIL is likely too busy to enlist. And you guys keep buying it. :sad2:

I noticed that as well...I didn't see anyone cheering for GWB or his stupid comments.

Lake Ariel.....

I just saw that on MSNBC!!!! Kevin James should be ashamed of himself!!!! Who would go on TV to talk about an issue when they obviously know nothing about what is being discussed!!!!!!! What a joke, Chris Matthews asked him 19 times and not once could he answer!!!!!!! I like the part when Matthews says.."Well what did he do" and all he could come up with was..."He's an appeaser!" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: GWB doesn't need help like Kevin James!!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Neither does John McCain or the rest of the Republicans.

On second thought, KO was wrong. KEEP TALKING, DUBYA. :lmao:

You mean the Ronnie who negotiated with the terrorists in Iran, and the USSR? That Ronnie?:confused3

That was funny!!:lmao:

Just for informational purposes, I lived in Israel in the 1980's. The Knesset is not a quite deliberative place of government. It's a loud and demonstrative place where very little hides behind decorum. What you saw was embarassment and anger that any foreign politician would use their celebration to pontificate about his home politics. What a disgrace.

On the upside, keep talking Dubya. You're doing yourself and your party proud. How many Republicans made a call to KO and asked "got any ideas of how to shut Bush up". :rotfl:

Yeah, that is what I just don't get...Nixon was called brilliant for talking to and meeting with our enemies...principally the Soviet Union and China, why now is talking to your enemies appeasement???? I guess GWB and co. are hoping no one remembers their history...like that nut job Kevin James yesterday on Hardball!!!

Hmm...Maybe Dubya was talking about McCain, since he was once in favor of negotiating with Hamas?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy.../05/15/AR2008051503306.html?hpid=opinionsbox1

But given his own position on Hamas, McCain is the last politician who should be attacking Obama. Two years ago, just after Hamas won the Palestinian parliamentary elections, I interviewed McCain for the British network Sky News's "World News Tonight" program. Here is the crucial part of our exchange:

I asked: "Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?"

McCain answered: "They're the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it's a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that."

D'OH!!!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

You are right, GWB can keep talking and talking...the Dems will have some great commercials this fall!!!

In what way?

Ooops, you didn't get the memo. The old BS just doesn't work anymore. You need a new playbook.

What does it mean to "respect the office" if it's tenants don't? Why should you worry if some commentator on a network doesn't respect it if the one occupying it doesn't? THAT is who you should be concerned with, and that is the problem right now...no one is taking Bush to task for all of the harm he has done to this country.

It means to kiss the butt of all Republican presidents because they are Republicans.

Dear Charade, eveyone keeps telling you are smarter than this stuff you are saying .... I keep hoping to see it as I keep reading ...
Kathee

There's a flash of it every so once in a while. This isn't one of those times.

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Who can honestly say they are proud of GWB as our president??? Who can honestly say that he has done the best for our country??? Trust me, history will be unkind to the legacy of the GWB and his administration....KO was right, but sometimes people don't like to hear the ugly truth. There is no reason to blindly respect a leader such as GWB. I respect the office of president, but I am not so naive as to not be able to see when they are on the wrong side of things. I want the office of president to be occupied by someone who is thoughtful and intelligent, not by a fear mongerer and a liar. Respect should be earned..how has GWB earned any respect???

Who???? You've got a whole thread of Bush devotees.

luckily there are no plans from either democrat to "withdraw abruptly" but only people paying attention would know that

Republican rule #1: Don't confuse me with facts.

If Bush is so in tune with how things work in the middle east, why didn't he see 9/11 coming?

He was golfing. :lmao:

This is a truly unique situation. For those rare times McCain really does know what the hell is talking about, he's got to flip-flop because his own party won't vote for him if he doesn't.

Keep talking Dubya/McCain. They're a Democratic dream team. :rotfl2:

I know! I don't know what's funnier, that he flipped from the right answer to the wrong one, or the sheer hypocrisy he shows for criticizing Obama for holding a position he used to hold himself.

Is there a site somewhere keeping track of all these flip flops he's pulled? It'd be awfully useful as the number keeps rising, 'cause I'm afraid I'm starting to lose track. :lmao:
