She was never a big girl to begin with... :sad2:

Keira Knightley may have arrived in Venice to promote her latest film, but it is her shrinking frame that is attracting all the attention.

The actress looked tinier than ever as she attended a press conference ahead of the opening of Atonement at the Venice Film Festival.

Knightley, who adamantly denied reports of an eating disorder last year, looked shockingly gaunt as she posed for photographers in a full length white and navy gown.

The first two pics, her head looks HUGE compared to the rest of her body.

The top left photo looks photoshopped to me. The rest of them don't look THAT bad.

The first two pictures are taken at odd angles. She doesn't look so skinny in the other two pictures and those are a more normal view.

ITA! The first looks odd, but the rest look okay to me. She always seemed very slender to me and looks no skinnier in those pics than I recall seeing her in movies. If I could easily see her rib cage or the like, I'd say something, but she at least looks padded well enough not to see that.

Look at her back in the last picture and also in the second picture. You can't count her ribs, and her bones aren't sticking out more than usual. I think she's naturally a small person.

Looks pretty normal for her. Some women are just small.

Still amazed everytime somebody thinks it's OK to go on about how thin people are and how they look sick. If somebody was to go on about how some celeb gained a lot of weight, and was one Twinkie away from a coronary, people would be crying foul big time.

I think so too; the face doesn't match the body. She looks like a bobblehead.

They are probably exaggerating. The other pics don't look like she's anorexic, just thin.

I think the issue is that in Hollywood if you are a size 2 you are considered fat. A lot of actresses starve themselves to stay too thin, which is just as unhealthy as being over weight. Then you have young girls and woman who strive to look like the actresses, and are very unhealthy and under weight.

I do believe some woman are natually thin, but I think they are in the minority. There needs to be a reality check regarding women in movies, and magazines. It would be better to see healthy weights versus under weight.

Unfortunately, many women (especially young women and girls) aspire to look like this, and for most of us, it's not healthy, and it's only attainable through unhealthy ways. These are celebrities that put themselves in front of the camera. I think it's okay to point out that it's not beautiful, and it's not healthy.

Great minds! ;)

Well then I guess it would be okay to point out that being overweight is not beautiful and not healthy. :sad2:

I thought the same exact thing at first. Wasn't even sure if it was her until I scrolled down to the other 2 pics. I don't think she looks any thinner than she normally is. And yes, the dress is gorgeous!!

I was expecting to see her looking like Nicole Richie before she got pregnant. Kiera has always been skinny skinny. I don't think she looks any smaller than she normally does in those pictures.

And I agree, that first one looks off, the skin color is totally different.

Well, I really don't know of any women who look at fat celebrities and aspire to have bodies like that. :confused3 Should there be a deluge of young women and girls sticking tubes down their throats and force-feeding themselves to gain unhealthy amounts of weight, then I think we should go after the obese celebrities too. ;)

She looks the same as she has always looked to me. She's a very thin girl, and when a person of that size loses even a pound or two, it really shows. I doubt we have to worry about her being anorexic, she seems pretty level headed.

It's OK because nobody aspires to be fat?

Great example of exactly what I was posting about. What makes it OK to even joke about thin people when it's accepted that it would be wrong to do the same about those that are fat or gained weight?

with the amount of nasty comments directed towards overweight people on this board, I would hardly make the leap to say that making fun of thin is ok but fat isn't :confused3
