I think she looks fine. I love the dress.
Oh I agree - the dress is gorgeous and a great color for her.
I think she looks fine. I love the dress.
Amen.Looks pretty normal for her. Some women are just small.
Still amazed everytime somebody thinks it's OK to go on about how thin people are and how they look sick. If somebody was to go on about how some celeb gained a lot of weight, and was one Twinkie away from a coronary, people would be crying foul big time.
I think the issue is that in Hollywood if you are a size 2 you are considered fat. A lot of actresses starve themselves to stay too thin, which is just as unhealthy as being over weight. Then you have young girls and woman who strive to look like the actresses, and are very unhealthy and under weight.
I do believe some woman are natually thin, but I think they are in the minority. There needs to be a reality check regarding women in movies, and magazines. It would be better to see healthy weights versus under weight.
with the amount of nasty comments directed towards overweight people on this board, I would hardly make the leap to say that making fun of thin is ok but fat isn't![]()
First of I think that is quite an exaggeration. Plenty of women over size 2 that are not consiudered fat by anybody.
Secondy I think the problem is with people thinking people are underweight when they might just be healthy, thin people who happen to eat right and work out on a regular basis.
It's OK because nobody aspires to be fat?
Great example of exactly what I was posting about. What makes it OK to even joke about thin people when it's accepted that it would be wrong to do the same about those that are fat or gained weight?
I don't mean the general public, but the powers that be in Hollywood have been known to tell women that they need to lose weight, and these women are size 2 and 4.
I had watched a show recently, and I wish I could recall the name, and on it they were talking about the pressure to be thin in the entertainment industry. One of the people they interviewed was Jennifer Love Hewitt and she said that when you walk into a room as a size 2, you are the fat person in the room. Not my words, but hers. Think about that mentality.
I don't think it is acceptable to make rude comments about people over weight, nor is it acceptable to make rude comments about thin people, or those under weight. I just think we need to admit that it is unhealthy to be over/under weight.
What you are saying IS true. Anything over a size 2 in Hollywood is considered "plus size" or bigger boned. I'll never forget the way they carried on about J-Lo when she was in the media all the time. How big she was, how curvy she was. We saw J-Lo when she was in Washington once, and let me tell you, there isn't one thing big, plus size or curvy about this woman. She's a size 8 at most. Same with Kate Winslet, the media is always talking about how big she is....she'd look very small next to the average American woman, no doubt. Its annoying. I'd much rather see women of all shapes and sizes in the movies and on TV, to me its all about confidence and style. You either have it, or you don't, regardless of whether you are a size 2 or a 22.
