You'd think it was Valentines with all the threads about weddings :goodvibes and engagments, so let's keep it up. Love is in the air :lovestruc .....

Where was you and your SO's first date?

DH and mine was at the Griffith Park Observatory in L.A. We were 16, and he took me there to look at the city lights. We just hung out and talked. Walked all through the observatory (it's huge) and looked at all the exhibits. Then when we were getting ready to leave and were walking through the parking lot he grabbed my hand and just held on to it. Talk about butterflies. :cloud9:
Anyways... We always went back there on the anniversary of our first date to celebrate.

It was a blind date to a nostalgic concert of old 80's hair bands. We had a blast!

We were poor college students so we went to Friendly's for dinner! How romantic

He took me for lunch to a Chinese restaurant in the town we lived in in New Mexico. As I said in another thread, I didn't know we were dating.

I did get a little smile when I was back in New Mexico a couple of weeks ago and drove past it. I told DH about it when I got home. :teeth: And I haven't eaten there since we moved away--when we go back for a visit, I'm eating Mexican food, not Chinese!

We went to Tong's Tikihut for dinner. It is a badly decored polynesian restaurant. We ordered way too much food and he fed me with chopsticks. We had a blast.

We went to a little Italian restraunt at college for dinner. Then we called it quits early because my fiance hosted a radio show on campus that night. It was the only night I could fit a date in my schedule!! :goodvibes

On our "official" first date, we went out to dinner. His parents had a cottage on the river so we went there after dinner, built a nice fire, had some cocktails and watched the world go by.

Ours was at a local Italian restaurant. Since we were friends before we dated, I wasn't sure if it was an actual date or not. When he insisted on holding the door open for me as we were walking in, and said something like, "I'm supposed to do that" when I reached for it, I knew it was a date.

We ended up sneaking into the mall (where we both had worked) afterwards, they were closed for a special event. And then he wanted me to go over his house and watch Land of the lost. He was so proud that he had it on tape. I must have really liked him to watch that as long as I did. :goodvibes
