We spend less time in the parks but we have taken up 'touring'. Two years ago we took the Backstage Safari at AK. Wow what an experience!
Before that we have taken several of the other 'backstage tours'. They are always so interesting.
The Landscape tour at OKW is neat.
Goofy Bingo and other activities at OKW.
We go shopping at the outlets (at each of the 4 Disney outlets at least once!).
We have lunch in Celebration.
We visit the ducks at The Peabody (on I Drive), either in the morning when they march in or in the evening when they march out! And the casual 'diner' restaurant there is nice for a meal!
Visit Pointe Orlando on I Drive to eat at Johnny Rockets and visit the Imax theatre.
Visit other Disney resorts for meals-Whispering Cnayon Cafe at WL, Afternoon Tea at GF, Boma at AKL, the Bonnet Creek Golf Club for lunch (great homemade potato 'chips'), Beaches and Cream at BC for ice cream. (Hmmm we seem to do a lot of eating.)
Rent a movie from Hank's for the evening.
Relax on the verandah.
See other sites in the area. (Some of them a bit old fashioned) We have taken the Winter Park Scenic boat tour - very interesting until I lost my eyeglasses. Took the Tupperware Tour at Tupperware headquaters.
And I visit the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau (the Magiccard people) on I Drive to get more info on other things to do in the area. They are great!
Okay so I like to do somewhat silly things! But being a
DVC member for over 12 years has made it possible for me to go and relax and enjoy and do those silly things without having to do 'Commando Disney'!
