We use to take cold packs and put them in freezer space in fridges however, I hear some of the new fridges no longer have that space so looking for options. Thanks.

Ziploc bags filled with ice should work. You can even refill dump the contents and refill mid-day if needed.

It's my understanding that only the DVC refrigerators have a freezer section.

Yes but the ones at VGF studios do not and that is where we are staying.

The water fans which are sold in all of the parks were brilliant. Think you can purchase cheaper alternatives in the walmart and target near the parks
