We have a pot luck next weekend. I plan on making a thick chili or stew for one dish. I'd also like to make some meatballs for another dish, but I don't know what to do about keeping them warm. I'm using my crockpot for the stew. Short of borrowing or buying another crockpot, do you have any suggestions?

It will probably be about 2 hours from preparation to serving.

Yeah. get to piping hot in a pyrex bowl. Place a pyrex lid on it. Find a large cardboard box, place a heat resistant chopping board inside to stand the pyrex upon. Place in the pyrex and then pack around with scrunched up newspapers before closing the box. It should still be warm at 2 hours.

Could you take a microwave oven along to 'nuke' it for a bit ??

I think there is a microwave at the facility. Thanks for the suggestion!
