Keeping Disneyland Magical

So, we're trying to figure out a trip for May 2012. Right now the plan is to try and make it to Disney World since our kids have never been. But, we decided if Disney World doesn't work out then we'll be going to Disneyland. The only thing is this will be our 4th trip in about 6 years. As my DH and I were talking last night, he asked if we do end up at Disneyland, what can we do to make the trip as exciting and magical as the previous trips. We'll have 4 kids who will be 9, 6, 3, and 3 months. For the 3 year old, it will all be exciting because he has only been once. It's the older 2 we're trying to figure out how to keep it exciting.

So, what do you do to keep the excitement and magic alive for older kids?

There are some new rides to try out. If you could delay your trip Carsland will be open too.

Will 6 year old be old enough to ride some of the bigger rides he/she couldn't before?

From the perspective of a 30 year old whose parents took him to Disneyland every other year as a kid, I don't think you need to do anything.

No matter how many times we went there was always something new. Star Tours and Little Mermaid just came out and it is possible that some attractions in Cars Land may have a soft opening by May

I think as long as you show excitement, let the older kids help plan, the magic will be alive

I agree that you probably won't need to do much to keep the kids excited. Disneyland is awesome!
