My family, that includes a 1 year old, will be traveling to Orlando soon and we are planning to keep our 1 year old on west coast time in terms of his sleeping schedule. I was wondering if there were any parents that attempted something similar that could provide some advice. Thanks!

We brought our daughter to London when she was 2 1/2 and she did so much better than we did! We did not keep her on the east coast schedule. We found that she adjusted herself by going to sleep when the sun went down and waking up when the sun was up. She couldn't tell time, so she didn't know that we were 5 hours off schedule. We did start out super early when we left and she didn't sleep on the flight, so that might have helped. She did nap in strollers along the way because we did not stop for naps. When we came home, she adjusted right back. It was really interesting to see her reaction to the travel and made me think about how much I was thinking about jet lag and suffering when she seemed so unaffected.
