Since the party tonight was cancelled and I didn’t have a day ticket, decided to just stay put. Walked over to Target and bought some snacks and a bottle of wine. Happy with my decision. It’s been raining quite a bit, now there is an active tornado warning near Titusville, over 95.

My husband is out for a walk. The sun is shining. We had rain earlier. Hopefully he gets back before the next band comes through. But he said he’s not worried about getting wet.

We got hit by a modest rain/wind band about 10 minutes ago and my pine trees are likely to get a haircut through the evening hours. I thought about putting down some winter grass fertilizer with this rainfall, but it's a bit too early. My generator is ready to go if need be and my outside furniture is secured.

I'm not sure where you are at/staying, but I'd be tempted to go to DS until mid-afternoon when the hard bands start hitting us. But that's just me if I was visiting from out of town without a day ticket.

I don't remember a time when extreme North Georgia was under a TS Warning.

It is wild to me living in east TN that we are included in this! It has already been raining non stop for the last 24 hours

Universal posted their closings.
Due to Hurricane Helene, Universal Orlando Resort is making the following operational changes for Thursday, Sept. 26:

• Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is canceled.
• Universal Volcano Bay is closed.
• Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure will close at their regularly scheduled times – with Universal Studios closing at 5 p.m. and Islands of Adventure closing at 8 p.m.
• Universal CityWalk will close early at 8 p.m.
• Our hotels remain operational as they focus on taking care of our guests.

I had thought about it, going over for lunch. Still considering grabbing an Uber to a Disney resort for lunch. The wind is definitely picking up.

We got into MCO at 1030p last night with only a 1 hour delay in ATL. We’re at OKW and made a Walmart run this morning. Our plans are just to hang out at the resort today.

The local news gave us the 2:00pm update. The winds are at 110 MPH. Category 3 starts at 111 MPH winds. It should definitely be a Cat 3 for the 5:00pm update.

I'm in Texas, We usually have gas supply issues pre and post hurricanes along the evacuation routes. Might be something to consider there.

Lake County, northwest of MK (I can see the fireworks from my driveway). I was speaking of the hurricane’s winds, not winds where I am at home. It’s breezy here, but not excessively so. I have had one feeder band go by this morning, but the sun is out right now.

I am at airport now. I am heading to Kansas City. My friend (who was my sponsor for Shades of Green) left earlier this afternoon so they would not let me extend my stay without her. My flight is at 4:42… I tried to get an earlier flight but failed. I keep wondering if I should try to book a hotel now or wait. So far I see only a few delays/cancellations.

Only if it’s refundable or you don’t mind losing the money. I do that to track my flights too but sometimes the airline makes an aircraft swap and all the sudden the plane that had no chance of getting to me is already there.

It’s windy at my house. But not raining. Hubby works til 8, so hopefully not too bad then, gusts are expected around 60mph where he works. DS and I are watching Inside Out 2. Some friends are without power already. My daughter-in-law lives further inland and it’s not windy at her house. Oldest ds works at a theme park and will be driving home in the dark.

Hopeful that our flight into MCO tomorrow morning is ok. Seems there has not been a lot of flight disruption, which should help. Glad we changed flight to Friday instead of today and really hoping we make it in.

We flying out later tonight from Boston. Flight is currently delayed 45 minutes, but fingers crossed we get in tonight. We're supposed land after 1AM.

Our DCP DD headed off to Epcot at 2EDT to work the closing shift and said it is currently totally dry.
