Keeping a mobile device charged

I'm old school. I carry a paper itinerary with me with all our details. Created on Excel and folds down to credit card size. My phone is only for pictures.

Another vote for those portable chargers. However, pay attention to the mah rating.
  • 2000 mah is basically a single use
  • 6000 mah will charge a phone 2 ot 3 times before it needs to be recharged. Not much larger than 2000mah.
  • 10000 mah is great for tablets or you need to charge a companion's device. Otherwise, it will charge the phone the whole day.
  • 30000 mah is my latest charger... great for trans oceanic flights
Don't be a wall hugger...

I play Pokemon Go in the parks and go through battery power like it's water. I bring 2 portable chargers that give me 2 charges each. That can usually get me through a full day. Although there was one day on my last trip that I went through both and considered buying a fuel rod in Epcot. But I decided I to give myself a phone break instead.

I think I need to back off the Pokemon Go when I go to Disney World. LOL

I use my phone as my video camera in an electronic gimbal, as such it power drains quickly! I have numerous power banks with us, some to charge the USB fans, some for phones etc... A good 20,000mah will last a long time and is the sweet spot for us around the parks for 2+ phones and fans. We have an additional 10k and 15k on rotation depending on where we are going and for how long. The 15k presents the best overall package with regards to portability, weight and charging capabilities. I got a 'waterproof' one just in case! ;o)

I carry a lipstick sized charger with me in my bag..... just recharge it nightly.

I bought a few $5 power banks at Five Below. In January/February, I only had to charge up once per day. I used my phone for DME, Pictures, Texting, Phone Calls, Skype, and Facetime. I am going in June and plan to do the same.

Same with everyone. BF and I had portable chargers for both of our phones. During shows or whne we were eating, when there was nothing really to take pictures of or look up, I just plugged in my phone and charged it.

I carried a heavier portable charger though that lasted us all 5 days of our trip, so depending on what type of bag you're bringing and how much juice your phone takes on, you might want to research some portable chargers on Amazon :)

I just received in the last hour an Anker charger that I bought on Amazon. It's currently charging via my laptop. It's about 4" long and 1.5" diameter so easy to carry in a purse or backpack. I plan to bring it to Disney in the fall and anytime I'm going to be out all day. I can't bring a cell phone into work so it really won't get much of a workout unless we go out on the weekend all day where I'll need my phone.

Good to know 5 below has decent ones. Thanks!
