We have a 5:50 ADR for WCC on the 4th of July. It will be me, dh , dd7 and dd5 along with my sister and her dh, dd who turns 9 the day beofore, ds who turns 9 the day beofore (twins) and ds soon to be 7. Thought the kids would have loads of fun! The problem is seeing any fireworks after. I have park hopper so if MK gets closed I can go some place else. My sister's family does not. What would you suggest to do? I'm not even sure what park we will be at that day. We want to keep WCC but any suggestions on fireworks after?
Thank you all!

So your main concern would be that MK would fill up and you could not get in to see the fireworks? Does MK usually get filled to capacity on July 4? I have only read about this happening on Christmas Day but that doesn't mean it's not a common occurrence. If it were me, I would keep the ADR at WCC. I think that would be a fun day to be at WCC. Worst case scenario would be that MK fills to capacity. At that point you could plan to take the monorail to The Poly and watch the fireworks from the beach. I guess my thought is that if the park is so full, it has to close, do you really want to be there?

Thank you for your reply. I read on another post that last year the MK was closed on the 4th at 11:30am. I thought about watching from the beach at Poly too and then read that security is tight at the Poly on the 4th and that they will only let you on the beach if staying at the Poly or eatting there. It's just what one person said so maybe we could get away with it?
Any place else not one of the parks to see them at?

You might check the Wilderness Lodge thread in the resort section but I know there is a floor (maybe 6) that has public view windows from which you can see the fireworks. You could always ask at concierge and ask them if the MK is at capacity and then watch them from WL followed by the Electric boat parade on Bay Lake.

I see your dilemma though, maybe you could try and get LTT ressies instead. :confused3

Thanks! If my sister is not willing to get the park hopper she may jsut do Epcot that day. I think MK is going to be way too crowded for us!
