Keep or return Ariel costume?

I won a really pretty (used) Ariel WDW costume on ebay, for a good price, for DD8. It was listed as 7/8, but was actually size 6 when it arrived. Seller is really apologetic and good about it, offering to refund and pay return shipping. Honest mistake. Problem is, its a really cute costume and just a little snug and short. It was a very good price (under 30 total), so I'm trying to find a solution to make it a little longer (no sewing)...or should I just return it? Thoughts?

I say return it, you can buy a brand new one at Walmart for 20

Only you know the answer to that! not nearly enough info. Is it a really expensive costume you got cheaply and can be altered or is it a mass produced inexpensive costume you got at a reasonable price. Is it able to be modified?

As I said if it is a high quality made outfit it could be altered and may be worth it and I may keep it. If it is mass produced run of the mill I can buy a new one at any chain costume store at Halloween I wouldn't. Also I don't know your finances or how much your DD likes it.
