a recent post on this topic got me thinking - you wait in line when the line is shortest hoping to get seated all together and get a good seat as well -- then the CM tells you to walk all the way down so now your sitting at the farthest end. I get the reasoning for it - but what do you do if anything to be more in the middle than one end or another?

So funny. You must be talking about the Hollywood studios thread about what to fast pass.

That actually helped me change my fps

It actually happens at both DHS and MK. Mickeys Philharmonic and Monsters Laugh Floor comes to mind especially.

I usually hold back a little and let people go through the doors first. So for like little mermaid I step in but don't choose a row to go down until people have filled in. It is harder to do at shows that aren't as often but the ones that are pretty much non-stop it is easier to do as less people sre at each show.

Pick a row where there's already people going into it, then you're in the middle

This.

Let the people pushing go in first. If you're in the preshows or loading area, you know you have a seat. No reason to go first and sit at the far end of three room.

Unless it's value season and your asked to fill in 3/4 or halfway.

For theater style seating, I always wait for everyone else to go in and pick their rows. Then I go in and pick my seats. Easy to get good seats without neighbors, best of both worlds.

This never bothered me until I got stuck on the very last end seat of It's Tough to Be a Bug last trip and it MESSED ME UP! I already have vision issues and the distortion from the 3D at that angle, no one should be allowed to view the show from there, instant headache!! I now wait and let a dozen people go before me, I will even split from my party before doing that again :sad2:

When you're at the front of the pack, it can be difficult to step aside and let others ahead. We tried this once, and you would think Disney was giving something away for free with all the pushing going on.

This. We had end row for Mickey's Philharmonic and within an hour my vertigo kicked in.

Ill move all the way down as requested. Then, just before the show starts we will scoot back to the middle or move to a different row if there are openings. Another option is to just not be the first people to enter a row.

We just stand in the back before the doors open. That way, it lets others in before us and we get to pick our row to move into. We don't find it a need to be one of the first in line so we just wait and let others rush in. If you are in the preshow area, you will get into the next show so we just relax. Never had a problem.

Oh we're not in a rush by any means or feel we need to be first in line, but sometimes when you're walking by and the line isn't 5 deep and its something you want to go on/see anyway, you just get in line while there.

I've noticed that it does not matter for 3D shows. The view tends to be the same regardless of where you sit.

Not necessarily - I sat at the far end at Mickey's Philharmonic and the bend of the screen or whatever it was, distorted some of the 3D images and created havoc in my head. :sad1:

For 3D shows, I prefer not to be in the front rows more than being toward the ends. I think it's a better effect when there are heads in front of you (not blocking your vision, of course).
