The date for booking excursions on our upcoming September double dip out of Miami is in a couple of days, and we are now debating on whether to pay in full today and book excursions at first opportunity or to just cancel the cruise and go to WDW that week instead, where we would be able to go to MNSSHP (our favorite thing to do at WDW) and Food and Wine Festival. We have a Southern Caribbean cruise in November that leaves from San Juan, which we intend to keep but which obviously does not visit Castaway Cay, which we love. We have a December WDW trip planned, but we have not been in fall in a few years, and we miss MNSSHP and the F&W festival. Torn about what to do and would appreciate input. Thanks in advance!

Does your cruise include HOTHS? If so keep it. We had so much fun last year seeing everyone dressed in costumes and the boat decked out for Halloween.

I would keep your double dip. I prefer the cruise over WDW. The Dream out of Port Miami will be fun and at that time the ship will not be full so it will be two great sailings for sure.

The cruise in my opinion gives you the more relaxing vacation with all food and service done for you with minimal effort. To me that is worth it by itself.

I personally would keep the double dip. WDW just feels stressful and more exhausting than usual to me these days. We did MNSSHP in 2019 and it was PACKED. We were able to get a bunch of rides done, but forget most characters. The only ones we waited for were the dwarfs and it was a good hour probably. Did the Halloween after hours last year and that was better - felt like the crowd was much smaller and we got a lot more rides done - but of course the entertainment was missing. Our first cruise was a HOTHS one and that was super fun. Would definitely pick that over MNSSHP. Jack and Sally were on the ship, sing-a-long showing of the Nightmare Before Christmas, and the jack-o-lantern tree is so cool!
