KC's Western POST trip report 4/19-4/26

I'm not worried about hurricanes, I was more concerned about tanning weather :cool1:

Although I haven't really checked that closely, have you looked at the temps that time of year? It would be fun to plan another trip together again!!

I haven't yet. But then again, I'm the type of person that's more into cold weather. Remember, I have that "Rubenesque" beauty? It's much easier to put on clothes because there's only so much I can take off before people go running and screaming and jumping off buildings and boats.

However, I did a quick google of "caribbean cruise temperature november" and a couple of sites said it'd be somewhere between 77 and 87, so that sounds really good to me.

Ooooh! I'm off to look for your Pre-TR!!! Is it posted yet?

Sure is. Link is in my siggie. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Hypermommy! I found it earlier and am already onboard and loving the commentary! :)

That would be lots of fun!

Oh, and check this out

Seems that they've gone back to a traditional character meal format.

See, KC.... I told you if you give Mickey enough money he might listen to you. :rotfl2:

I am so excited for you guys and I'll be hopping on over to tour pre tippie because heaven knows we won't be going anytime soon. Something about the Titanic.:rolleyes1 I'll have to live through you.

Hoo-ray for the change :thumbsup2 . Post # 95 covered my unhappiness with the Island Jam style dance party, so of course I'm happy about this.

Does this mean that if I slip the Mic another $2K during the cruise he might keep the ship open past midnight?

Nah... probably not. But think about it. Would you want Stitch running around free after midnight? He might turn into a Gremlin.

But seriously, aren't the clubs open later than that? I wouldn't know because I was always snoozing by then.

I caught onto this trip report two nights ago and could not stop reading it for the past three nights. You both did an amazing job in writing this report as it has signifcantly helped our family in preparing for our dream cruise in October.

Thanks again...
Paul

Inasmuch as I wrote this so others would know what to expect, I find myself coming back to re-read it so I can again experience the wonderful time we had. I had hoped that by adding as many details as possible the information value would outweigh the bragging aspect. This was, after all, the trip of a lifetime, no matter how many times you do it.

I wish more people would write comprehensive TR's (w/pics) because with everything there is to see, eat, do, etc., nobody can do it all. But like recurring characters in a good book series, we never weary of hearing about fellow travelers and their experiences. Please consider writing one yourself.

I finally logged on often enough to drive the view count on this up past 20K! :thumbsup2 I had such a good time with it, and am having a hard time ignoring this TR, even with another cruise planned. And yes, I also wanted to see it on the first page one last time.

One year to wait until our Double Dip Delight 09. Be sure to stay tuned in for another marathon adventure. Thankfully we again have an active meet thread, and I expect our DIS numbers to at least double in the next few months as the ship begins to fill up.

Hypermommy's lists are starting to form up, a cruise pile has begun, and we are working like mad to pay Mickey off. After a vacation or two at the parks, maybe boarding a brand new ship in 2012 is on the horizon.

I also wanted to thank the other 10K viewers for spreading the word about this, as there still seems to be a steady 20 or so daily readers on a long dead TR. It's SO nice to know I'm not the only die-hard who tries to read everything available.

As for YOUR trip (why else would you be here?), I hope it is everything you dream it can be; it sure was for us, and thousands more just like you and me. Probably 99% of DCL'ers have been to the parks and know the type of customer service and overall experience Mickey is famous for. Go, enjoy it, bring the family, celebrate life, take pictures, party your butt off, just go! You WILL have such a good time that you will become Castaway Club members before you know it.

Finally, please let me know in your TR if you get voted into any of the 'passenger positions' :rotfl2: ie Most popular, Best pirate costume, Worst sunburn, Most likely to close down the bar, you know, the things that make your trip all the more memorable. There is nothing like getting elected while holding a drink to get you in the right state of mind. Have fun and enjoy it!
