Can you use your own Kayak at the Fort?

They rent canoes and kayaks at very reasonable rates. The route isn't very long but it's nice to see the Fort from this angle. They don't allow you to launch your own.

I kinda figured that. We are hopefully going down this summer and are stopping on our way down south with the kayaks, on a slow trip down. I was hoping we could use them. All well.

Dont know for sure what the official stance is but I have seen people with their own kayaks a couple of times over the years.

Still against the rules. Good way to get the Po Po's attention. No different than trying to put your own bass boat into Bay Lake. No personal watercraft.

Well, maybe a little different but the concept is the same.

If its like so many other rules no one will confront them to make them stop. Dogs running loose and people building fires all over the site doesnt seem to draw much attention. (take this with the utmost of sarcasm)
