Kayaking in Vero??

We are interested in Kayaking while we are in VB next week. Has one gone with any of the kayak tours in the area? Any experiences or advice?

My DH and 2 daughters (the first time they went the girls ages were 12 and 16 next time they were 16 and 20) did the kayaking exursion and loved it, a bit of advise would be sun screen and bug spray. When he did it the first time with the girls in the winter the bugs were not an issue the early summer however was. The guide lent it to them so better to spray befor you go. They love the exursion but then again they love adventure, I love the pool with a cocktail .

I keep forgetting about the Disney arranged kayak tour!

Yes we are excited to get out of here! It will be good to get to some warmth and sun. I think we are just beginning to get a stretch of few days above 40 here. It has been a rough winter, illness wise, for my girls. Maybe that sun and the beach will fix everything. ..but wouldn't you know the two weeks leading up to our trip there are meetings, orientations, concerts and plays almost every single night!

ETA: We usually don't bring the laptop on vacation so no live reports from me, sorry. Has it's good and bad points. One less thing to worry about but lose our ability to access all sorts of info.

Hi Disdreamer!!

I guess we are going to be on our First Vero trip at the same time as you are. I read over the list today for the chair swap and see we are receiving the items from you. We are looking forward to seeing Vero for the first time and then heading to AKL Villas for the second half of the week. Our two boys are going to be SO SURPRISED when they find out we are going to Florida again before Xmas. They always talk about going to a beach in Florida so they are going to be thrilled.
