kayak.com seat fee?

I had read that if I book AirTran through kayak.com, I would not be charged seat selection fees. Has that changed? It appears that I am being charged, although I didn't hit the actual purchase button. Will the fees magically erase or will I be charged as shown? Hmm Thanks if anyone has purchased through this link!

Free seat selection for reservations booked via Kayak link is long gone. You can do a search if you want to get the exact date.

Oh, thank you. No, I didn't know free seat selection was a limited time frame. Guess I thought it was just a feature of Kayak. Oh well.

All travel agencies got the benefit of no Air Tran seat fees, and Kayak is an online travel agency. I had friends I did Air Tran tickets for in my agency so the seats would be free. Sadly, TA free seats were discontinued some time ago.
