Katie Holmes to have a "silent birth"?

I was just trying to make a point that sometimes these things are necessary for the well being of the child. Regardless of your beliefs.

I know.

I just wished they woudl have skipped the 100th heel prick and put her under the billi-light. She had jaundice (developed AFTER she was born as she was a positive Coombs Test baby--allergic to my O+ blood ..opposite of the Rh- thing). Anywho....I still want to heel prick that idiot doctor. Our regular one was on vacation, and the backup didn't have nursery privileges....and...this woman...was an idiot.

That being the case, my final point was that it might, in some circles, be considered rude to make fun of someone else's religion.

But it isn't a religion, they said so. :rotfl2:

It esacapes them that most religions could be seen as cults from those outside the religion. :rolleyes1

Even those who practice "religions" that are widely accepted as a "cults" by main street population do not see themselves as being in a cult.

It's official...I no longer want to hear anything about TomKat any more. I am more over them than I was Britney.
That pretty much sums it up for me too!

If giving birth silently AND without meds is a requirement of scientology I would never qualify for that "religion"!

Huh? Mainstream maybe?

Does anyone else think this sounds like it was thought up by a man? Sure, you ought to be able to push an 8 lb kid out without making a peep. No problem.
OMG! I had a 9 lb 7 oz baby! And I had to have a c-section! What happens if she needs a c-section for something beyond her control? Will she be punished for that too? And yes, the first thing that popped into my head was it had to be a man that thought up all these strange childbearing rules! No sane woman would think all of these were normal.

I wish they had had a silent courtship. I hope they have a silent marriage and continue their vow of silence through the birth of this poor child.

ITA. For DS I had pitocin and the little bit of meds they gave me just took the edge of and then ran out. Yep, there was some screaming. The next day he was circumcised and a for two days a little while later I had a little bit of the baby blues.

Then, with DD I had an pitocin and an epithical (sp?) and was laughing when DD was "born". I didn't even have to push with her, I guess I was so relaxed my body did it all. She started nursing immediately.

And guess what, if both my kids under went any trama, I don't think it was from birth...I could never live up to Tom's standards....

Does that mean that her crack-pot lover (TC) will keep his big trap shut! ;)
