I still don't see Tom Cruise as gay! Yes he's a little different, but I think all actors are strange. I can't get past the age difference between the two though, how old is she again? I always see a Dad and daughter not a couple when I see their picture. They almost look alike.

I don't think it's a publicity stunt. So they're engaged and now pregnant? Big whoop. We all know how it'll end, be it 5 months or 5 years from now. Frankly, I'm getting sick of all the celebrity marriage, divorce and birth announcements. It's a joke.

They said on the radio that Scientology is ok with having a baby out of wedlock. They also said that the baby is due right around the time Mission Impossible 3 is coming out. You think we've had enough of TomKat's undying love now??? Just wait till May - baby, new movie = media goes crazy. Hollywood is so very, very screwed up.

I don't have any problem with Scientology per se. I don't believe that Tom's behavior of late has made him their best representative. He's been all over the board...bouncing off walls and couches, passing commentary on things that he has no knowledge of etc. As far as the younger girl...well, isn't that every mid-life crisis middle-aged man's dream??? That doesn't really strike me as a huge deal, because on a few years he'll be throwing Katie over for another 20-something year old. Good that she'll have a child to remember him by.

I know how the DIS Scientologists feel though. Try being a Catholic here.

I wonder what Scientology says about pre-marital sex and having babies out of wedlock.

I don't know if it says anythng about those issues, but my point is that people who always act holier than thou are in reality VERY FAR from holy.

On ET last night the Church released a statement that they had no opinion of having a child out of wedlock (or something to that effect). The Church also said that having loving, caring parents (again, I am paraphrasing here) is the best thing for a baby and that Tom and Katie's baby would definitely have all the care and love, etc., etc. that a child could need.

Seriously, I could care less. Why is the media so excited about this. Also I am NOT a prude at all. I lived with my husband before marriage etc but what is with celebrities all getting pregnant before getting married? I know they can do what they want and I should not judge them but I am just put off by it. It seems to be the norm now.

I ws thinking the same thing when I heard this "news". I know it does happen on occasion, but it seems like it's the norm with celebrities. That's setting a great example for the younger generation!

My good friend just found out after thirteen years of trying she is pregnant. This is wonderful news. She went through ups and downs with her marriage over this issue. The greatest thing is they stayed together and things have worked out for them. That is what life is about. These two having a baby means nothing to me. Who cares is my answer. How long they stay together is the real question. Tom Cruise in my mind is a wierdo! The only thing that keeps him out of the loony bin is he is famous and has money. He looks fifty and she looks about twelve!

Color me confused. I thought that Tom "Studied the history of psychiatry", no? I just want to know which university gave him a degree when he dropped out of high school?

Personally, I think the whole baby thing is just AMAZING (he's AMAZING, she's AMAZING, therefore I am sure that their baby will be AMAZING)
