No, it is widely surmised that Katie faked a pregnancy the last couple of months to perpetuate the myth that Cruise is her biological father, something I do not believe for a second.

He is certainly her father in every other sense of the word, but Suri carrying his DNA is highly doubtful.

Never seen a variety of pregnant women? I looked gigantic at 9 months (heck I probably looked full term at 6 months..I gave birth to an almost 10lb baby) but one of the VPs in my area when she went overdue barely looked 4-5 months pregnant. Everyone is different and shows/carries differently..it's not that easy to eyeball a pregnant woman's belly and know she is for certain X number of weeks/months along. I don't think even an OB could look at a belly (and have no other details on the person) and say "this person is exactly x weeks/months". It would be a best guess.

My mother in law wore a girdle. Also, some women just don't show that big.

I think the common assumption is that it has to do with his public image. He went a bit wacky around that time (with the couch jumping and that Matt Lauer interview and all that) and I think he has some savy PR people who try to keep his image in check. It might also be related to Scientology as well..certain rules or regulations on such things and from what I understand he is viewed as a high up leader and might have needed a certain situation/image for that as well. Honestly no idea..it could all be wild speculation and hooey too.

They started dating in April 2005 and Suri was born in April 2006. Last time I checked a calendar that was a year.

ETA, ok, maybe it was not a FULL year, maybe it was 50 or 51 weeks depending on the exact date. Close enough.

I don't believe she was born in April. Many people believe Katie Holmes was pregnant when they got together, as has been discussed ad nauseum.

Yes, the date announced as the birth date isn't necessarily the real date of the real birth. Especially when a pic of baby Suri was never seen in public till a good 4(?) months after the announced birth. Pretty much in every other high profile birth, the celebs have the baby's picture taken & published almost right away, to take away that bounty on getting a first picture, so the couple & child can then be left alone.

Matthew Broderick & SJP, I think, had pictures of their first child, James, taken right on the front steps of the hospital.

The Jolie-Pitts had theirs done in the hospital - and donated the money to charities.

J.Lo & Marc released a pic within the first week or two. Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow & others followed suit with releasing proud pictures about 1 week to a month of the babies being born.

I think there might have been a stretch where she wasn't seen in public around that time. But even if there wasn't, pregnancies aren't exactly predictable when it comes to the size of someone's "baby bump". I've known people who were 7 months pregnant and looked like they were about to burst, and others who were supposed to give birth the next week who I would have guessed were about 6 months along. Typically, if you tell people how far along you are they will believe you, even if you don't look like they think you ought to look at that point.

There is no standard look of pregnancy.

I have seen 6 month pregnant women looking like they are 9 months pregnant and 9 month pregnant women look like they are 6 months pregnant.

A smaller or larger than usual baby bump can easily be explained away by how the mother is carrying.

My ex sister in law was a tiny 4'11, 90 lb thing and you could not even see a baby bump up until she delivered. My 1st 2 children, I was waddling by 6 months. My last one, I was still sleeping on my stomach at 9 months.

Size of baby bump is so individual, you can't judge pregnancy dates just by looking.

Yes, that was also the time when Katie's mother came to visit and stayed for several weeks. But, did not come to visit in April when Suri was allegedly born.

Her mom is even there now with Katie & Suri after Katie announced the divorce from Cruise. They were all pictured together at the zoo last week.

Suri was born in April 2006. All I'm saying is I have never heard of a baby coming over three months late. If she were pregnant with Suri when she and Tom met she would have actually been conceived much earlier than April 2005. So was Kaite Holmes pregnant for over a year? Because that is what you are trying to say.

Of course all women look different in pregnancy, but to fake being earlier for the whole thing? So at 3 months she was playing it off as conception, 6 months as 3, 9 as 6? 3 months after delivery as 9 months? I just don't see all that as possible. But, what do I know.
