My grand uncle has spent many years in Africa, Eritrea, specifically. As part of the Foreign Ministry. Small world. He prefers to live in South Africa rather than Ontario or the States.

It is indeed a small world!!! I thought living in Africa as a kid was great. Not so sure my parents enjoyed it.

My dad was in the Air Force and we were stationed at Wheelus AFB, Tripoli, Libya for 4 years ('66 - '70). It was too cool!

It's really cool to find someone else who lived in Africa as part of a missionary group.
My Grandpa was born in Africa and lived there a good part of his childhood. He came back before it was illegal to have real Ivory jewelry, we have a few real ivory pieces in the family.

Ps) I would absolutely love to visit South Africa before I die!!! AKL is my favorite resort and to actually be able to experience Africa and its culture would be inspiring
