Kate's Back on Track Journal - comments welcome

So I guess it wouldn't be very nice to tell you it is going to be 81 here today? :sunny:

Bummer that you can't get to the gym. Do you have any workout tapes you can do at home?

Your eating looks great, keep it up! :Pinkbounc

Congrats on making your exercise goal!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Great job! Hope your weather warms up soon. This summer while you're enjoying your warm weather we'll be dying in HOT HUMID summer days & red tide in the Gulf. Don't let the cold weather get ya down!

Missed being here. I was without a computer for a few days, but got a new one that DH surprised me with for my birthday!!

Haven't been doing so well with the food. Lot of stress eating due to work being crazy busy, then my old computer dying, etc.

Ready to get at it again though. Exercise time is still difficult with work and DH not being here much at the times the rest of us are home.

All right now. A new year (yesterday was my birthday!) and I'm motivated to start over and lose these pesky 10 pounds to get back to my goal weight.

Weight today: 135
Goal: 125
Going to stick with the WW Wendy plan, as that seems to help shake things up for me. ANd NO candy snacking!!

The exercise will be a challenge until I can get outside and run, as getting to the gym is difficult with my time/work/DH schedule. I'll try to get there when I can, but realize the several days a week I was doing at one point is not possible. Don't beat myself up about it, just do the best I can.

Food is something I can control, and I will journal much more faithfully. I've been bad lately, munching on candy at work, etc. and need to really get back to clean healthy eating! :thumbsup2

Gotta go get the kids ready for school. :sunny:

Happy Birthday, Kate!!! pixiedust:

I'll be turning 50 next year, 2007, too! But not until December so for me it feels like 2 years away.

I've heard great things about the Wendie Plan. It seems to work well. There used to be a few posters on here who swore by it.

Don't feel bad - you're not the only candy muncher. Its been a bad two weeks for me!

We are in the same boat! I am glad to see I am not the only one with the "one Tootsie roll won't hurt me" followed by "one caramel won't hurt me" followed by "well, I already had one Tootsie roll, I might as well have another one" syndrome... I think that if I eat 5 pieces of candy throughout the day, for some reason the calories aren't as bad as if I ate 5 pieces in one sitting... :confused3

You are doing great getting back on track. Get those workouts in whenever you can!

Happy belated birthday! :cake: :bday:

Saturday morning.

Snowing here! :scared:

I'm working, won't get to the gym today, but maybe after working I can get some things done around the house. DS is working, DD's have some homework, I always have my ongoing quilt that needs attention!

Amy, candy and snacking is my worst enemy. You're right. I seem to think that one little thing won't hurt, then pretty soon it's a whole bag of chocolate, or whatever it is. I really need to control that. Did ok yesterday. One day under control.

I'll check back later. :sunny:

COLD day, makes me just want to sit under a blanket and not move. :cold:

Went to church, and while I was gone, DH had the car break down while driving DS to work. Hope its nothing major, but I have a feeling it is

You did great this weekend! You can steer clear of all the workplace temptations! pixiedust:

I hope you are able to get to the gym today (or at least squeeze in a workout of some kind!)

You did great resisting the candy at work! Sticking to only 4 pieces is a start! Maybe today you can have only 3 and before you know it, you can get by with one or none...

You can do it! :thumbsup2

Wednesday

Amy, no candy yesterday because it is all gone, and I didn't buy anymore! That's my problem, I get it and think I'll just have a little here and there, and end up finishing off the bag!

Wendy target = 22

0 coffee
2 cheese stick
2 apple
1 a few bites of a bagel

4 tuna salad sandwich on lite whole grain (I make mine with lots of peppers, onions, shredded carrots, zucchini, pickles, and spicy mustard, sometimes horseradish)
1 girl scout cookie (We have them in the house to deliver, and I need to get them out of here as soon as possible!!)

1 carrots and hummus

5 slice of DiGiorno Harvest Wheat pizza

1 tangelo

5 Cadbury chocolate egg

Best thing today was, when the kids got home from school I couldn't take DD for allergy shots since I still am without a car, so I called my friend and we took a walk - for an hour and a half! We both needed to talk, and vent about things, and I certainly have needed the exercise! :goodvibes

22 total pts
4 f/v
1 dairy
96 oz water
4 AP's walking

Funny, I have the same problem with candy... Don't buy anymore!

Keep it up, you are really doing great with your eating! :cheer2:

You must be relieved that your candy is gone. Why do so many holidays center around candy? We just get thru Valentine's Day & Easter is right around the corner! When the kids were little I always went to the store the day after a holiday to get all of that half price candy. Those days are gone! Great job with the eating - warmer weather will be here quicker than you think then you'll be able to jog again. You watch, those pounds will melt right off.

Sunday.

Last night went to our annual Mardi Gras party at the girls school, it was lots of fun, there was lots of food, but I did very well, small small portions and only did the one trip to the food table, no seconds, and since I don't drink alcohol, no problem there!

Finally got to the gym yesterday after having been away about 2 weeks, due to working a ton and no car. But it felt great. Later in the day our weather warmed up to the 50's, so I actually ran outside also. Can't wait until spring!!!!!

WI on Friday I didn't lose, but didn't gain, so that's ok. It will happen. :thumbsup2

Congrats on doing so well at the party! That is always tough for me - I have no control in situations like those.

You have a great attitude about the weigh in!

Keep up all your hard work and that scale will move soon. :cheer2:
