Kate's Back on Track Journal - comments welcome

Well, we had a great time at the party, and for most of the evening I did great. I knew I had 5 pts left, and figured on some flex. I took only a few items from the food table, pineapples and strawberries (dipped in the chocolate fountain!) :goodvibes

Stayed away from most things with cheese (that can also be my downfall) :thumbsup2

Had just a few bites of veggie dips, etc. and walked away into the other room AWAY from the food. :woohoo:

Then it got pretty late, I was tired, DH wasn't ready to leave, I got into some conversations by the food table (closer to the door, trying to leave)
and there were these butter mints - I must have had a few handfuls... all that sugar...urghhhhh :guilty:

Oh well, today I'll do better.

Was planning on the gym again, weekends seem to be easiest for me to make time for it, but DD is sick AGAIN, running a slight fever this morning, sore throat and coughing. will this winter never end!?!

You did really good at the party! It could have been a lot worse than a couple handfuls of mints - like a couple fistfuls of chocolate from the fountain! :rotfl:

I hope you are able to get to the gym today. I know how tough it is when you have the kid wild card thrown in there...

Kate, you did better than I did yesterday. The cheese is exactly what got me. I hope dd gets feeling better.

Thanks, Amy and Jane for the support. Yes, could have been much worse.

I think in the back of my mind I always figure I can play around with a few snacky things. My best WW friends always count on points for drinks when they go to parties. I don't drink alcohol so I guess I make up for it with sweets!

I'm glad to see you made it to the gym and that your eating is back on track! :thumbsup2

Had to stay home from work today to take DD to the doctor. At least she doesn't have strep again!

No chance to get to the gym, too cold to run outside, but I ran up and down steps all day putting away laundry. Figured I get something done since my week is all goofed up now. I'll have to go into work tomorrow instead, but can't stay all day because of getting the kids from school.

Food today (and planned for dinner):

Pts.
0 coffee
2 yogurt
1 Kashi Go Lean
1 blueberries

4 Wheat thins and leftover crab dip from party.

3 veggie sandwich on flax/oatmeal bread spinach, peppers, tomatoes, hummus

4 chicken breast
0 carrots
4 rice

1 fudgecicle

at least 96 oz of water (have filled my 32 oz cup twice now)

:surfweb:

You're doing great! I hope your DD feels better soon. Sending pixie dust her way.

You're doing great, Kate, and Laundry & stairs are DEFINITELY Exercise!!!

Hope your DD is getting better!

Busy Busy Busy. :surfweb:

My schedule has been all changed due to staying home Monday, work was hectic yesterday, today working at home, and haven't had any exercise time!

Trying to be positive today :sunny: even though it is cold here :cold:

OK, trying to get back to a normally scheduled life!!

Went for my annual mammogram early last week, then got called back for more pictures on Thursday. I went early in the morning before work, and was stressed because I wondered if they'd find anything and it took a while. I was there over an hour since they wanted to get a more magnified view, different angles, etc.

Turned out all ok, but it was a nerve-wracking morning!

And then I got to work and did a stress eating binge on candy! :sad2:

Oh well, I've done pretty good today.

Tonight was the closing night of DD 20's art show at her school, I made food (appetizers) for the event, didn't even eat many of them!

Tomorrow is work most of the day since I was off Monday with sick DD 11.

I did make it to the gym today, which was good, and have stayed the same on the weight, not gone up, which is always a plus.

DS found out he got the job he applied for at AMC, so he'll be selling popcorn or taking tickets, and probably getting to see lots of movies for free! :yay:

Amy and Jane, thanks for the encouragement, I've been MIA lately.

Beth, Julie, thanks for stopping by :goodvibes

Food for yesterday:

Egg sandwich 3 pts
coffee 0

Gym; 30 minutes upper and lower body weight machines, 35 minutes elliptical and bike

Protein bar 4 pts

While preparing food for the art closing:
carrot sticks
zuchinni sticks

hummus dip
2 pts

Later when we got home, DH ordered pizza since we hadn't had dinner

1 slice= 7
1 cinnapie slice = 3 (dotties said 4.5 for 2 slices, so)

Total water 116 oz.

Total 21 pts Not too bad, but definitely not a usual day, not enough f/v's for me!

Wow, you did great by only eating healthy munchies while you were cooking everything! That is always a tough thing to do.

How exciting that your DS got a job at the movie theater. I always thought that would be a cool job, since I love movies!

I hope everyone in your family is back to being healthy! :goodvibes

Hi Amy, DS thinks its going to be a fun job. I hope he likes it, since he's 16 and this is a first, I hope it works out for him.

I did a big gym day - 80 minutes. I did every cardio machine and really got a good workout. Tomorrow I hope to be able to go back and do the weight circuit. Seems like if I alternate things it helps more and isn't so boring. :tigger:

Food so far today:

Pts.
2 Fiber one and yogurt

4 Pure Protein bar

1 zuchinni sticks with hummus

0 large pickle

2 ginger snap cookies

WOW, 80 minutes of cardio? :worship: I think I would have dropped dead...

I love hummus. I like steamed zucchini, but I have never tried it raw. I might have to check it out!

Great job with the food and workouts!!!! You're doing an amazing job.

Congrats on ds getting a job. My first job was at a movie theater too. It only had two theaters. I had friends who worked there & they got me in when I was 16. I loved it. I worked there for two years but after graduation we all left for other jobs. The main perks were free movies, free popcorn & free sodas!

Made my exercise goal for the month, just barely!! :sunny:

Eating is ok, I did have a candy attack at work, but doing ok overall.

Today points and food so far

3 egg sandwich

2 apple

48 oz. water

Lots of work to get done, so get to it :surfweb:

Whooooo hooooooooo!! Congratulations on making your goal!!!!!!

OK, here it is Feb. 4 and I haven't posted for almost a week. Life is just too darned busy sometimes!!!

DS is loving the job so far, last night it was very busy, (Friday, of course) and he had the job of cleaning the empty cups etc. from the 20 theaters. (I think he was only responsible for 5 of them) Tonight he will be doing concessions, see how good he is at serving popcorn and hot dogs!

Snowing here today, so no gym, and DD is supposed to dance with her class at the mall, something they do every year raising money for the Heart Fund. Not sure if that is still happening or not, depending on the weather. The temps have dropped steadily all morning, and the roads may get icy.

How much longer till summer??? :cold:

Food for today so far

3 pts. 3 egg whites, lf cheese, veggies in an omelet

1 Whole grain toast and laughing cow

0 coffee

32 oz. water
