Katie is way too liberal for me. However, it doesn't matter to me whether she is on CBS evening news or the Today show. I don't watch either. (For me, its GMA in the morning and cable news at night).

Okay, I am going to make an incredibly sexist comment, but it's what I really think, so what the hey...

I think Katie is another egotistical celebrity who is out for fame and success at the expense of her fatherless girls. A network anchor of that caliber is not exactly a hands-on soccer Mom. And, after losing their Dad, those girls deserve to have an involved parent. With the money that Katie has made, she could have put her career on hold a long time ago to raise her girls. I'm sorry, I know that is the dark ages, but no amount of talking about by Katie is going to convince me that anyone but the nanny is raising those girls.

I don't think your statement is sexist at all, and even if it was, who cares, you spoke your mind. I also happen to agree with every word you wrote.

Being a morning anchor doesn't take a lot of time away from your children. Working late in the afternoon and evening will. Cindy Adams was on tv talking about this and she said is was because Katie wanted a "normal" love life just like everybody else in town. I think Katie's change in schedule is so she can go out with whatever guy(s) she is dating at the time.

I lost a lot of respect for Katie when she started dating Tom Warner and the guy was still married! He and his wife were having problems, they were married a very long time, and then he started up with Katie and that was the end of his marriage. I thought she was a hypocrite after that and the ego on her is incredible. So disengenious .
